This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with food and service.

Visiting Winston-Salem for a dance clinic. Chose to stay at the Marriott to balance proximity to UNCSA and downtown food options. Restaurant was ill-prepared for bustling Friday evening dinner service. Arrived on time for our 7pm reservations. Sat about 7:15. Went to bar at 7:30 to order drinks because no one had visited our table including water service. Server arrived finally at 7:45 to take order. Entrees arrived around 9:00. Two servers and one bartender were serving a full restaurant. The service was pleasant but apologetic and stretched. Manager was dismissive. It took three people 3 hours to have salads and entrees.

The hostess seemed clueless. There was a line at the stand. We sat at the bar and she was supposed to come get us t our reservation time. We never saw er again and just ate at the bar. The food was good, and the bartender was attentive.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. However, it still has that hotel conference room feel. The service was slow. To say the least, we were not approached for 10 minutes after we were seated. After ordering drinks, it was another 5 minutes to get them or even water. We ordered an appetizer (shrimp cocktail), and it came quick and was quite nice. We ordered our meal, and the waiter was impressive with not writing anything down. We'll when our meal came 1 hour later it was wrong and the stakes were stakes were not cooked to the order. I have eaten a few stakes in my day, and I am positive it was not a fillet as ordered. Hope you have a better experience if you go.

Very limited menu options especially with a seafood allergy. Food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Definitely would not recommend or return

When I made the reservation I was not informed that it was a fixed menu for the evening. The price didn’t bother me but my wife doesn’t eat red meat and the only option was fried chicken. The steaks my parents and I had were very good, but her chicken was bland. About 3-4 couples left after being seated because of the fixed menu. It was an overall good experience but if I’m paying that much for a meal I’d prefer to choose the meal I want.

Very friendly staff and environment. Meal was very good. A bit of a wait on serve time our bread came after our food but that can happen on holidays. I would eat here again, good experience

Cocktail shrimp was overcooked. Filet was fine but Ribeye was ordered medium rare and it came out well done. Mashed potatoes were awful. Asparagus was okay. When asked to put dessert in a to go container, ICE CREAM was put in the to go container so it melted on the way home and ruined the desserts. I also ordered one of each and got two of the same thing. Won’t be coming back. Our waitress actually had a great attitude despite everything else being bad.
