Utilizing our two main workhorses, a 9-foot open fire hearth and a custom-built high-capacity smoker, we patiently craft exciting food with soul, both primitive and contemporary. Butchertown Hall is an homage to the intersection of chef and owner Terry Raley's Texas Hill Country roots, and the historic Czech and German butcher shop culture that once lined the residential streets of early Germantown.

Butchertown Hall is always open, 7 days a week for dinner and weekend brunch. Join us in our glorious indoor or outdoor space! We also feature an expansive beer garden, complete with a list of specialty craft brews, superior margaritas and craft cocktails, and an extensive agave collection.

    Great place. Spacy and friendly. Good food. Not a large selection of wine but don’t be afraid to ask if they have wine not on the menu.

    Overall the experience was not great. Service was decent - our server did all she could but could have been slightly more attentive. Overall a check mark in this category but not a ++. Our apps came out quick, we ordered the queso and guacamole - both were average to slightly and I mean slightly, above average. The big let down was waiting near 50 minutes for mains. They finally let us know that one of the dishes was holding the others up (which is never a recipe for goodness) we agreed to bring the mains that were complete out and when they arrived, most were over cooked or cold. 2 in our party ordered the Redfish, neither enjoyed the dish. It was dry and lacked any character or excitement. We ordered 2 sides & both were just ok. . I’m not one to leave a negative review but I know Butchertown can do better. I’ve experienced really good here. This trip was anything but that, unfortunately.

    My gf’s tacos were so dry she sent them back. The manager offered if she wanted something different. She didn’t see anything that she would’ve liked. The surprise was one of her tacos had brisket on it. So idk if someone different in the kitchen made her taco or what. I had ordered a brisket sandwich and it tasted fine to me.

    Our tacos were room temperature which was not ideal. We sent the queso back to be warmed up but it was returned at the same room temperature. Perhaps the kitchen was having warming issues? We didn’t feel like raising a fuss but I was disappointed as Butchertown Hall is one of my go to places because I live up the street.

    Incredible food and great atmosphere! We got the brisket sandwich and the brisket tacos and they were both amazing.

    Saturday night at 8 PM experience- Queso was soupy. Service and bar were slow (15 minutes waiting at our table for drinks/appetizers). Tacos were cold on arrival. Bill was over $100. Just not the best experience for that price- I’d rather go to rosepepper.

    I had the red fish meal and was disappointed because it didn’t have much flavor nor was the meal salty enough. The red fish did not pair well with the garbanzo beans nor the chorizo. My husband had the NY Strip and it was full of gristle and didn’t have a great taste. Another couple was with us and he also had the NY Strip which was full of gristle. She had the shrimp tacos which she said were good.

    It was our first time dining here and we had an amazing time! The vibe was upbeat but still comfortable. Allie was a fantastic server who took great care of us on a busy night! We got an array of items off the menu to split and not one thing was underwhelming. We loved the oysters, shrimp ceviche and the ribeye! Definitely give this place a go if you haven’t yet.

    Hector was our server and could honestly care less about us. We were there for 2.5 hours & only had 1 round of drinks, we got our other round at the bar beforehand because our table was taking too long. The food was awful and cold. The farm hill wurst was ice cold & disgusting. The burger was dry & the bun was falling apart. This was all 6 of ours first time here and we will never be back. I had high hopes for this place but this is an extreme let down. Not one server apologized for the wait for drinks or food & made it seem like it was our fault. This is the worst service by far I’ve had in Nashville.
