Overall, we had an ok meal at the Butterfly Cafe. Staff was friendly and polite, but very slow to come to the table. The food itself was salted, but lacking a bit in flavor or taste. The jerk chicken had no actual jerk to it, more so just a roasted chicken leg. French onion soup was decent. The initial table bread itself was excellent in taste and texture. My wife had the crab stuffed hogfish, which again was fair but nothing special. Part of the issue was the pricing, very expensive entree prices given the level of the food. Portion sizes were decent and neither too little or too much. Desserts were good, as we tried two different things. Overall I wanted to give 4 stars but with no alcohol, 2 apps, 2 entrees and 2 desserts, our dinner for 2 cost us $240, brings it down to a 3 for me.

The service, food, and ambience were fantastic. It feels very much like Wisteria lane on Desperate Housewives in a good way: very quaint and elegant but not pretentiously so. My only complaint was the men’s room was gross with bloody toilet paper spread out in the stall and someone’s drink left on the sink.

While the ambiance was great the food was very underwhelming, especially for the cost. I could not even eat my pasta dish because it had absolutely zero flavor. Bummer!
