   This is like a Japanese tapas restaurant. The plates are mostly small and shareable. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

   We love the food from Ukiah! The crispy rice spicy salmon, sweet potato, and sticky ribs are our jam. And i could drink the purple rain until i fell out of my seat. A bit pricey but always a fabulous dining experience.

   It was our first time dining here, but it came highly recommended. The food was wonderful. Our server Christopher could not have been better. He guided us on our dietary restrictions and took great care of us. Can't wait to go back next time we're in AVL.

   I think by far the best dining experience I have ever had in Asheville, haven’t lived here for 20 years and eaten at nearly every independent restaurant in the community.

    The food was amazing and we had a great time in general but there was an unfortunate misunderstanding/disappointment. We had an 8:30 reservation specifically for their Valentine's Weekend tasting menu. We were informed shortly after being seated that the kitchen closes at 9, which didn't allow enough time to do the tasting menu like we had planned. Our server did offer an accelerated version of the tasting menu, but implied that this would be far from ideal. So we ordered ala carte from the main menu and everything was good but we did feel a little rushed and weren't offered a second round of drinks, probably because the bar was trying to close up. If their kitchen closes at 9, I don't think they should even offer an 8:30 reservation and they certainly shouldn't offer an 8:30 res specifically for their tasting menu when it isn't feasible for that time slot. Aside from that it was great and we plan to go back at an earlier hour so we can enjoy the full experience.
