Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

We had a great date night here. Our server was attentive but not obnoxious. We weren’t rushed for the first time in a long time. We really enjoyed all of our dishes and drinks.

I came here yesterday with my cousin and ate oysters. Food was delicious and the drinks were good too. We enjoyed ourselves. Love the ambiance of this restaurant, will be coming back soon just for the oysters!

The service and quality of the food served is far below C&S other locations ( one is closed for moving) in Atlanta. All the visible employees seem quite disinterested in the patrons. The prices are far too high for the dining experience as compared to the other C&S locations and separately Blueridge Grille and even Brooklyn Cafe. They need to place the manager from the temporarily closed NS PKWY at the Brookhaven location long enough to raise the location to the level that their other locations have attained for years.

Great food but the restaurant didn’t eat us until 30 minutes after our reservation. They kept telling us tables were finishing up but we waited 30 minutes for our table.

Always a great meal at C&S. Our server Dayvion was outstanding- attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and made our dinner a fun experience. Hope to see him again next time we dine at C&S!

We haven’t visited C&S in years due to a move and one thing I can say about them is they are consistently excellent in every area. The ambiance is always perfect. We felt welcomed and valued in an inviting setting. The food quality has not changed one bit, it is still outstanding. From the fresh Beau Soleil oysters, chargrilled oysters, my favorite grilled to perfection Sea Bass, and the best cocktails, we were not disappointed at all. The service is chefs kiss. Our server, Mo, was attentive, welcoming, personable, friendly, kind, all the things. It’s no surprise, C&S just gets it right on delivering an amazing dining experience. We simply want to say, thanks.
