   Unfortunately, our dinner was disappointing. We love c- level but this time it fell short. The reservation was made stating this was for a birthday. There was no acknowledgment of that. Our waiter took very could care of the table behind us. He checked on them frequently and even brought out a dessert with a candle for someone's birthday. Our food was okay. Had the waitor come back and checked on us, I probably would have sent my food back. The bell peppers were mushy, and the Portobello mushroom was flavorless and burnt. The Gluten free bread was so toasted it was hard as rock. Our salad never came, and again, we had to flag our waiter down at the end of the dinner to tell him to please take that off that check.

   TLDR: Mediocre food and bad service despite stunning view. The food is inconsistent...the Korean tofu bowl has been prepared differently every time I order it and the past couple times, has arrived with no sauce (despite the waiters warning "it's spicy" - there is no sauce/flavor, spicy or not, at all!). The only reason I've been back repeatedly is because the view is fantastic and I love showing it to out-of-town visitors. However, this was the last straw and I will not be returning with visitors. C-Level may have the advantage of fantastic location, but the food is overpriced for what it is (mediocre), and service was terrible. Our server did not come to check on us. I repeatedly had to flag her down to request water and remind her to bring items we'd ordered. The out-of-town guest I'd brought was not pleased with the experience, so that's where this stops being a "fun attraction" for visitors and just becomes a waste of money.

   We were at C-level last night (01/18/25) to celebrate our wedding anniversary! The front desk hosts were most gracious and greeted us and accommodated our request to get a table facing the bay with the most beautiful view! A host named Josh was very courteous and guided us to the best available table! Our waiter, Najeeb, immediately came and presented us with the menu and quick in bringing our drinks (wine). We felt so comfortable and romantic sitting at the table with the heater above us, watching the bay and downtown San Diego skyline! We ordered two big healthy, hearty salad plates with chicken and beef! Those salad plates were very big, and mixed with very nutritious greens, and Najeeb was kind enough to make some changes to the original salad ingredients to our liking! We had a fantastic time, and it was worth every penny we spent there, and certainly we will be returning to C-Level in the near future! Last but not least, since it was our anniversary, Najeeb treated us with a huge piece of very creamy, chocolaty ice cream without any extra charge! We want to thank all the staff there for running a cozy restaurant with a healthy menu and a great selection of wine! Our kudos to Najeeb and Josh for making our romantic evening unforgettable!    Lunch was exceptional ! The friendly and professional attention to service along with delicious food and drinks made anniversary extra special. Blackened fish tacos were fantastic and the lobster BLT over the top fabulous!

    We sat outside on the patio. The views are fantastic. We ended up getting there at happy hour and tried several things. The Cesar Salad, chicken pot stickers and calamari were very good. The Mai Tai 's we're pretty good too. But I've had better. The service was fantastic. Everyone was helpful and nice.
