   Staff were lovely, knowledgeable and attentive without being over the top. We had the Craster kipper salad starter which was very tasty, then we had the roast beef Sunday lunch , the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the beef melted in your mouth. Very enjoyable and we will be returning

   My wife and I each had two courses from the set menu, kipper salad to start for her, and soup for me. Then we both had chicken skewers in satay sauce, with Jasmine rice. It was all very civilised and the food was fabulous

   Really small portions. Children’s meal so small I had to order an additional adults meal for my 7yr old. Adult portions also quite mean, for the price.

   The staff are excellent but the food was amazing massive let down today. We normally have breakfast here which is excellent but Sunday lunch is not worth going for.

   My sister and I took my Mum here for Afternoon Tea to celebrate her 92nd birthday. We got a lovely warm welcome and the service throughout our visit was friendly, attentive and we couldn’t fault it - perfect! Unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. The bread on the sandwiches was a bit hard like it had been made up much earlier and left sitting - just didn’t taste fresh. Scones were nice and the choice of three cakes was ok but lacked the WOW factor. We brought most of them home. We wouldn’t go back for Afternoon Tea.
