The special octopus was good but the duck was two small legs over cooked with a lot of sauce. The gnocchi was nothing great. This restaurant is convenient to the opera but not the best meal.

Great dinner spot for authentic Italian food. Service is top notch. Easy parking Very active downtown spot. AAA+++ Will dine here again. If you want a quieter area ask for the side room away from the bar.

We have been to Cafe Amici’s several times and until this evening always enjoyed it. Tonight we invited friends to join us, telling them how fabulous the restaurant was. We were seated early, half of the restaurant was empty. The food and service is always fantastic-until this evening. Tonight we had a server who was apparently VERY angry about something and unfortunately, he took his nasty temper out on our table. He was exceedingly rude and barely spoke-essentially we had no service, and what service he did give, was poor. We eat at restaurants often and his rudeness exceeded anything we have ever experienced in any restaurant. I have never left a complaint about any restaurant but this guy was over the top and should be dealt with by management. Servers are there to serve, not to take their spite out on patrons.

We had the following dishes: Sacchetti alle pere e zafferano, spaghettini alla carbonara, and veal amici. All were delicious! We also had wine and two people had cocktails which were also delicious. Our waiter, Nick, was very good and one of the owners, Massimo, was very gracious to us. We never have a bad experience at Cafe Amici.

We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for years. Heard very good things about it. 4 people at the table, 3 ordered pasta. All good. I ordered the salmon because I don’t eat pasta and it was awful! The salmon looked poached and tasted fishy which means it’s not fresh. The whole fish was bland, no seasoning. Even the capers were tasteless. The restaurant is loud.
