The Café Brio, located in Victoria, has been a local favorite for twenty six years, serving up a rustic, Italian inspired menu. Focusing on regional products, Café Brio led by multi awarded Chef Sam Harris selects the highest quality ingredients from local sources to be used in authentic, creative dishes.

At Café Brio, everything is prepared in house. Pasta favorites include gnocchi with roasted leeks, parmesan cream and basil purée, Spaghettini with tomato, garlic, basil, olive oil and parmigiano and also our wild mushroom risotto. From the Sea enjoy seared scallops with peroxides, delicata squash, carmelo and bacon anchovy vinaigrette or our local fish feature. Lastly the Parry Bay Lamb feature from our friends out in Metchosin is an absolute must.

The wine list is extensive with input from multiple Sommeliers on staff always excited to share their new favourite bottle in our unique and cozy dining room.

    We had a great evening. We ate appetizers and dinner sitting at the bar, which is what we requested in our reservation. Atmosphere was great. Staff were professional and pleasant. The food was outstanding as always. We had meat and cheese boards, selecting two of each, and shared half orders of sablefish and risotto. Cafe Brio never disappoints!

    I always enjoy my meals at Cafe Brio. Your staff were welcoming and engaging throughout the visit. Having delicious bread brought to the table as you think through your dinner choices. It is a welcome practice as so many other restaurants charge you for bread and don’t make this as an integral part of the eating out experience. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable as we worked through our food and wine choices. The chicken liver appetizer was divine and our party all chose the three course meal. The soup and salad were delicious , but for the three of us that chose the rock cod in miso, were disappointed, as it smelled “fishy” and the miso tasted too strong miso flavoured broth and vegetable. Our party of four chose the crème brûlée for dessert. Like the chicken liver appetizer at the beginning of our meal, this was delicious! I highly recommend Cafe Brio and any constructive criticisms are made to fine tune a wonderful restaurant in Victoria.

    We were recommended Cafe Brio by a friend. And they were not wrong. The food was incredible, especially the Gnocchi Carbonara and the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Don’t skip out on the Sticky Toffee Pudding either it was divine. Couldn’t fault any part of the experience. Service was so efficient and lovely. We will definitely be back

    My friend and I had a lovely dinner at the bar. The staff were very attentive and made excellent recommendations on dishes and wines. I liked that we could order half sizes of the entrees, and that sharing family style was easy. Everything was delicious. I couldn't pick a favourite item.
