   This is our favorite restaurant and we always return for important celebratory events. Last night, every single food item we ordered was off the charts delicious. Nancy was a lovely waitress who was also enjoyable to chat with. The only wrinkle in our experience was that our table was not ready for us despite having a reservation, so we had to wait. But it is Valentine's Day weekend and was a busy evening at Cafe Cruz. We had a lovely evening and a fabulous meal!

   Disrespectful couple in corner table next to us were kissing and licking each other while we were dining.

   This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but this time they disappointed. The appetizer was great, but my wife's entree was overcooked, and the veggies were barely steamed. My pepper steak was cooked correctly, but the pepper sauce was not peppery at all, and my veggies were also undercooked. The manager took good care of us at the end, so we'll be back to see if they can figure out the cook situation.

   My French fries were overcooked but I should have told my server and I’m sure he would have brought me fresh.

   We were seated in the bar for dinner, even though we didn't tequiest it and the rest of the restaurant was empty, having just opened. The bartender seems to think he needs to yell at people seated right next to him, and it makes it difficult to have a conversation.

   We go to Cafe Cruz whenever we visit Santa Cruz. While it is a favorite, last night was exceptionally good, mainly because of the attentive and upbeat server Andrea. It’s so nice to be helped by someone who actually seems to enjoy her job! She was great! I usually stick to fish which is usually great too!

   Great food and service. I wish the restaurant would offer more gluten-free options, as it is very limited. I hope to see them expand their kids menu with gluten-free options as well. My kids struggled with ordering a dish because they didn’t like the chicken, which was the only option available.  For instance, how about offering gluten-free pasta instead of regular pasta as an option? Please, please expand your menus.

   We were visiting the area for our anniversary weekend. Our hotel recommended it. We chose the patio dining which was cozy with multiple heat lamps and a stone fireplace. It was much quieter than inside as well. The food was delicious! I had the pear and tangerine salad and it was the perfect blend of flavors in every bite. Hubby ordered the pork chops and loved the juiciness and seasonings-cooked to perfection. My entree was the steak fettuccini and it too was cooked exactly as ordered. Topped off with crème brûlée and complimentary champagne from our server. A memorable, romantic way to celebrate 38 years!

    Escellent food as always. Noise level a bit high, but no higher than other places without carpet and booths.
