The food & service were outstanding. The only discomfort was the cold air every time the door to the outside was open. Everyone should come through the hotel lobby to the entrance to the restaurant in my opinion. Otherwise it was wonderful.

There for Sunday brunch today. Food is generally consistent from visit to visit. Today it took a very long time for our food to come out of the kitchen. One of us had the pecan salad which was extremely overdressed. Literally swimming in dressing which was much too acidic. Other than that, everything was prepared properly and was very tasty. Service was good. My husband left his glasses on the table and they called to say they would hold them at the desk. We are local and return often to this restaurant and we often take out-of-town guests to The Chalkboard.

The food presentation was excellent, but I didn’t think the flavor was where it needed to be. The dinning space was very comfortable and quiet. The service was good. They delivered the wrong meal, but made up for it quickly.

Chalkboard Kitchen is a lovely spot on the ground floor of the Ambassador Hotel in OKC. The decor and ambience are very nice, and the service was good. There were one or two things about the food that I thought could have been done better, though. I ordered a cup of french onion soup as a starter, and it came out lukewarm, with the slice of swiss cheese on the top barely melted (I also would have preferred gruyere over swiss ). It was overpowered by a flavor of cooking sherry, and the onion and broth were weak flavor-wise and under seasoned. My husband ordered a cobb salad which was missing some of the key ingredients listed on the menu, including hardboiled egg, which he really loves. Our friends' entrees were okay, but I thought that the food deserved a little more attention to detail than it received (especially for the prices). I would consider going back, because this could just have been an off night in the kitchen.

We had the crab cake sliders and they were wonderful. Service was great too. We can't wait to go back.

I haven't responded to these but open table is persistent in asking for my review of this restaurant. Parking was difficult to find despite an early reservation on a Tuesday. After walking down a busy, hilly, two-way alley to get to the restaurants front facade we had to try to find the main entrance as other obvious doors were blocked. Main entrance was difficult to find as it is inside a hotel and no one was attending the front desk to tell us where to go and no signs were visible detailing the same. Upon checking in with the hostess we were led outdoors. It was cold outside. We didn't want to sit outside and stated so. Our hostess replied that all on-line reservations are defaulted to outdoor seating but since they'd just opened and no obelse had been seated yet we could be accommodated. If I'd read or been made aware that this policy I wouldn't have booked the reservation. Server wore yoga pants that had holes in the left leg. Was seated next to a group of openly gay men. I don't mind that they were gay but took offense to my wife and I having to listen to their vulgar and private comments about each other and their bedroom behavior. Service was slow. Food was mediocre at best. My entree, the braised ribs, was bland. My wifes selection of the potatoe gnoche was better but still somewhat tasteless. The fried green tomatoe appetizer tasted as though it had been microwaved, was soggy and also bland. The only saving grace of the meal was the wine we enjoyed. Alcohol was tabbed separate from the meal so I received two receipts. I combined both totals and added the appropriate tip to the combined totals, writing zero in the tip portion of the alcohol bill and telling my server that I'd combined the totals and tipped her based on the combined bills so she didn't get cheated in her tip. This was confusing apparently because by the time I'd reached home I'd been left two voicemails by the restaurant and asked why I tipped that way. Won't be returning.

The scallops were really good! As well as the potato gnocchi. Staff was very friendly as well.
