   You ask if there is a "special occasion". They didn't acknowledge it, they didn't seem to care. But it was important to us! Hostess made no eye contact when we arrived, just looked down at her book and asked if we had a reservation. No "welcome", no "I see you have a special occasion", no anything. Walked us to the table, placed menus on the corner and walked away. No "your server will be with you shortly". Wait person was disheveled... certainly not the look you would expect at a restaurant with an upscale reputation. Stuffed pepper appetizer was on point but the calamari and eggplant were only passable. Two of our three entrees were very good but the $45 ribeye special was a poor excuse for a steak. No sear or crust, very undercooked and over sauced, Complementary salads were underwhelming. Table next to us was celebrating a birthday as were we. They had a dessert with a candle. When asked if we wanted dessert we informed the waits person that it was my wife's birthday and we ordered the lemoncello cake and profiteroles both thawed out institutional purchased. Desserts came and yes...no candle. We said, "don't we get a candle?" and the reply was, "If you want one I guess I can go get one"... no thanks. 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 desserts and 2 drinks came to $270+ with gratuity. No management ever came to our table, no one was at the door when we left to thank us for coming. Our special occasion felt more like an imposition. There are many other restaurants in Pawleys Island with better food, staff and management.

   What a lovely date night. Everything was prepared beautifully and came out in a reasonable time. The servers/employees were kind, professional, and attentive.

   Great food great service what else can I say. While waiting at the bar for our guest to come the bartender Rebecca was outstanding friendly professional great drinks then to our table and the everything was just as outstanding 😎👍

   Caffe Piccolo never disappoints. We may have overstayed our welcome as the group of eight had lots to talk about and we were noisy too. We started with calamari and mussels for apps, then each ordered entrees ranging from piccolo shrimp, to diver scallops over mushroom risotto to burrata salad with diver scallops, eggplant rollatinis. I may have missed one. Ended with tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake. Staff as always was superior and Amanda did a stellar job.

   We were seated next to a 17 top table for our 20th anniversary to start. I had made a note when I made the reservation weeks in advance. Busboy brought the water holding the glasses at the top, his finger nails were caked with black dirt. So we wouldn't drink the water. We put our order in before the 17 tops order was taken. They received and ate their apps, soup & salads, dinners, sang happy birthday, had cake and paid and we still never received our scallop and fish dinners. One hour and forty minutes later. We asked for our check for our two drinks and what do you know the server said the food was done. What a coincidence. We left and got take out on the way home. Thanks Caffe Piccolo for a anniversary we will always remember.

   The food and the service was excellent. We had a young new waiter named Owen who did a fantastic job. What a delightful person.

   We enjoyed a quiet Monday night dinner at Caffe Piccolo. Our server, Amanda was friendly and attentive. She made some great recommendations. We both had the daily specials. Husband had wonderfully cooked lamb. I had lobster ravioli with scallops. These were the best scallops I've ever eaten-perfectly seared and delicious! We will definitely have this restaurant on our list when we visit here several times a year!

    Amazing as always ! Best scallops you’ll find anywhere . The veal Francese was delicious also . Can’t wait to get back .
