Home to the flavorsome platters of South Louisiana, Cajun Queen is a converted home restaurant, the architecture of which dates back to the vintage early 18th century. A nostalgic iteration of the 1980's New Orleans greets the visiting patrons, with purple, green and golden themed décor priming the interiors at Cajun Queen. The dining experience is equally comfortable, and customers can cine in the living room, expanded restroom, sunroom or wrought iron rooftop terrace. From crawfish to seafood, gumbo to steak—the servings at Cajun Queen are a concoction of culinary choices. Fried shrimp, etouffee, blackened chicken breast, bayou platter, ribeye steak and frenbch cut pork chop are often the most ladled platters which customers like to order. Wine servings prime the bar area to complement the authentic Cajun flavors.

Staff was wonderful. The seating was very close and the wait staff barely moved through without tapping our chairs. The noise level was a little high as I could hear everyone conversation. The food was tasty and portions were sizable. The gumbo appetizer was very good. However, the bread pudding was dry and tasteless. The Oreo cheesecake was good. I would recommend this restaurant to attend with a lively group but not if you prefer a quiet dinner

I love Cajun Queen! The food is always fresh and tasty. As an appetizer, I ordered the fried green tomatoes. For my entree I ordered the salt and pepper catfish with mashed potato and broccoli. This time, my broccoli was a little cold and I did not like the fried green tomatoes. Although they were freshly made, it did not have much taste. Other than that, everything was wonderful and I'll be back.

We love Cajun Queen! We were seated at a corner table which afforded us a great view of the busy sidewalk out front. Our Fried Green Tomatoes, Chicken Diane and red beans and rice were delicious and the service was impeccable. A wonderful date night meal.

"We loved the relaxed feel. We definitely will return to try more dishes. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly cooked.was refreshing. The bloody Marie’s were very tasty. The BBQ shrimp is very spiced, but a great flavor. Service overall was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.""I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was good, but our server was new and had difficulty with pouring drinks without make a mess.

The food was amazing. We took my mother in law here for her birthday! The service was not all that, my server may have been new. Overall a nice gem to try in Charlotte Nc. Please try the fried salt and pepper cat fish! So good!
