Transport yourself into a magical fairytale and prepare for an unforgettable experience. For our savory menu, we offer a lunch and dinner featuring some traditional dishes as well as our signature quiche and chicken salade. Our menu changes seasonally and everything on our menu is house made from scratch daily with our commitment to the highest quality and ingredients. Our full bar offers signature cocktails, Champagne and beer. Delicious three-layer cakes, as well as cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts fill our elegantly designed display case and are served daily. Gwendolyn's Cake Bake Shop's have become the destination of Indianapolis for celebrating all life's special occasions.

    It was our first time visiting and I’d heard nothing but high praise. It was definitely gorgeous with the chandeliers and Christmas decorations. But, in my opinion, I was disappointed with some of my food choices. I’ll start with the cake- I ordered the birthday cake and the icing was listed as buttercream. However, it was more of a buttery whipped icing than the heavier buttercream I was expecting. Needless to say, my $17 slice was disappointing. As for my food, the all-arugula side salad with my quiche was A LOT of arugula. I think a mixed green salad would’ve been much more palatable. Maybe the lemon dressing wasn’t sweet enough to complement the peppery taste of the arugula? Finally, my $8 regular, no-syrup latte was in a tiny cup that I finished in about 4 sips. Sooooo, I guess as a newbie, I’ll know what NOT to order next time. Because I do believe there will be a next time. Our waitress was fantastic! Plus, my daughter DID enjoy her grilled cheese, the truffle fries were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the Millionaire Cake my daughter ordered was really tasty.

    Really beautiful, festive ambience. Perfect place to celebrate a winter birthday and the food was delicious.

    This is definitely a special night out place. I've been there for holiday and birthday celebrations, and each time, it's fabulous. The service and ambiance are uniquely amazing. It's not a place to go for value, but it's definitely a worthy spot for celebrations. Food is solid but pricey - your surroundings makeup for any negatives due to price.

    The servers make this place what it is. They fall over themselves to provide an unforgettable experience, especially for anyone celebrating a special occasion. The food good but not outstanding. The desserts are of course the stars and well deserving of their accolades.

    We were so lucky to have Kaitlyn as a server. Kaitlyn enhanced our whole experience and made our evening pure magic !

    Food is first-rate and ambience is magical. However, it was freezing cold in the main dining room and rather noisy making it difficult to hear normal conversation at the table. Tables are rather crowded together-just not that comfortable sitting for a leisurely meal. They can do better and should.
