Since 1987, California Dreaming has been a proud part of the Charleston, SC community. Our spacious, open setting features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the Ashley River, creating the perfect backdrop for a lively night out. You can also enjoy these panoramic views from our wrap-around deck, complete with a bar and easily accessible by boat. Whether you're craving low country favorites or our famous prime rib, California Dreaming is a favorite among both locals and tourists.

**Please note that we provide Advance Priority Seating to reduce wait times and expedite the seating process when your entire party arrives. To ensure the best experience for all guests, we seat groups of up to 6. While larger groups are seated separately, this arrangement is flexible during quieter hours.

This is a delightful restaurant. A menu for everyone. Priced reasonably. The best water views in all of charleston. Summertime you can see dolphins. Very good service.

Our waitress Claire was amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic! The food is also great. Nothing bad on the menu!

Request for harborfront table was met and all front house service was very good. The Ashley Chicken was dry and charred, shrimps tasted farmed and was overall smothered in salty over spiced sauce. No hint of lobster. Rating 3/10 Shrimp tacos were a big hit with my date. That counts for 8/10. The place was unique and overall attractive. Close by our hotel. Glad to be south of the snow line

Everything was excellent, except one entree dish. I was given the special of the day, no price mentioned. It was a 10oz snapper with fried shrimp. The fish was overcooked. My knife wouldn't cut it, not that I should have needed a knife for fish in the first place. Well I paid $34 for chicken fish. Just don't order that and you should be fine

This was our first time eating at California Dreaming and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the view was amazing

When you first approach the greeter (Caroline) she immediately welcomes you by your first and last name before you get a chance. What a very nice warm welcome to start your night off. Then requested a window seat and no questions asked, go to the bar order drinks that come fast and then your window seat is ready. Next fast service by a friendly waitress. Atmosphere and food amazing! Would highly recommend this place to anyone! This is why we keep going back.
