A French-Japanese bistro in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.

Reservations are always recommended, but we are often able to accommodate walk-ins as well.

While we love dogs, we can only accept trained service animals (not emotional support animals) both in our dining room as well as on our outdoor patio. We appreciate your understanding.

Excellent service! The duck frites, abalone pot pie, and spaghetti bolognese were my favorite dishes we ordered.

Josh was our outstanding server. He could not have done a better job. The food and ambiance was amazing as usual.

The food, ambiance, value were fine, but our server was absolutely horrible, which made the whole experience a 1/5. My girlfriends and I make precious time out of our busy schedules to have our monthly dinners. All of us were servers at one point of our lives as well, so we are respectful, appreciative, and tip well, but the interactions we had with the server felt argumentative and burdensome. We have never been treated like this before— the whole experience was incredibly uncomfortable.

Hidden restaurant on side street. Gets crowded after 6 pm. They open at 5 pm. The food are like side order portion. Fusion style. Fresh and tasty. Clams needs to be cleaned more thoroughly. Grainy tasting. Parking available with valet for $18.

The food is excellent, the service attentive. Our only two complaints were (1) it was too loud, and (2) the room was cold until about 9:45, when it seemed that heat was turned on. The room, although feeling less large than when Church and State was in the space, is never going to feel cozy . . .

First of all the dirty martini was exceptional in taste and presentation! I would return for the martini alone. We ordered 5 courses. The initial bites from the raw menu were good but it really got special as we worked our way to course 3,4,5. The squash with burrata was delicious! Really loved the scallops and duck frite. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu.
