Campisi's is an Italian restaurant with multiple locations throughout Texas. The secret to this restaurant's success is its commitment to being a family run business using family recipes. Campisi's began in 1946 just after World War II by Carlo Campisi and today is run by David Campisi his grandson. Today the restaurant focuses on large party banquet style service as well as off-site catering. Campisi's banquet menu options include both buffet and seated menus. Many of these variations have similar items on them. Diners will find all sorts of Italian comfort food on the pages including shrimp scampi, baked artichoke hearts, toasted beef and cheese ravioli, crab claws, grilled Italian sausage and peppers, stuffed mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, tomato bruschetta, calamari and olive tapenade.

I don't think of here often. The location was perfect. We had a party of 7 that was from 5 to 85-yo. I requested to be tucked away somewhere quiet. This was perfect! Everyone raved about their meals. My mother went on about how nostalgic it was to be there. Newly revealed lore is that I have been going there since before I was born. It is a rare old gem for Dallas that generally shuns what's old.

NYE reservation was on point. We were seated immediately. The waiter Kyle was excellent. Randy White ravioli, small pizza, and shrimp scampi were excellent. Thank you for an awesome evening.

We understand that it was NYE and we should have spoken up. We were seated quickly but the booth was very small for four full size adults. No vodka for the Espresso Martini. Waiter was at our table quickly but was annoyed that we were not ready to place our drink order. The service was poor the remainder of the time. The food was not hot and one order was incorrect. The mistake was corrected but it took the manger to okay sending it back. We split checks and one check was wrong. The whole experience was not what we would have expected from this long time establishment.

The best service, accompanied by exceptional Italian food! Never a disappointment! With recent dietary changes, I discovered they have a gluten free pizza crust. There are few gluten free pizzas that are actually good, but Campisi’s nailed it! Thank you!

Been going to Campisi’s on Mockingbird for over 50 years. Our prior experience was so bad that we had eaten there for 18 months. After tonight, it will be 18 years. The pizzas and fried ravioli were as expected from Campisi’s. However the service was slow and three ordered items failed to show. Who wants to eat salad after eating a pizza? We canceled those items, and any plans to return. Ever. Good luck.

The food and service were both mediocre. My family and I have dined here many times previously, but this evening it was definitely off. Not sure we’ll be back…
