Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events.

Can Can provides nonstop service morning, noon, and night and looks to give the local neighborhood, businesses, and Richmond visitors, a home away from home, an office away from the office, a place of refuge, or a stage for celebrating with friends.

When I think of Carytown the first place that comes to mind is Can Can Brasserie. And like fine wine, it’s gotten better with age. From arrival to check we were made to feel like VIP. The drinks top tier, an extensive champagne list including vintages from 2000 and beyond. Even when ordering bread the food is always plated beautifully and creates an atmosphere all on its own. For brunch do the Quiche Du Jour and French Toast. And for Dinner you have to do the Scallops. Non-negotiable on that. They are life changing.

Food was subpar. Did not live up to the expectations of fine French cuisine. Particularly the carpaccio, it was not thin enough to be considered authentic.

Took 2 hours -TWO HOURS of being there to get our entrees. & that was finally after our waiter decided to go check on our food about 20 minutes before that. He said our ticket somehow got lost in the kitchen. It was maddening bc the table next to use got there 45 minutes after our reservation & had their food immediately. I expected to be at home by 8:45. Not just getting our dinner & on Valentine’s Day. What I saw, was every other table being taken care of & we were ignored. My husband had to call the waiter over around 8:30 to find out what was going on. He should have ALREADY CHECKED at that point. He was so busy talking to this one table, of 2 people- I thought maybe he knew them. Really horrible service with that. & then once our food was finally delivered, my husbands lamb was COLD IN THE MIDDLE! We were done at that point. Packed up what we had & left. Didn’t even eat dinner on Valentine’s. And another reason I will not go out that night for another 20+ years. & they were not slammed busy either. Tables were open. Shame on you for treating customers like that! & my husband really wanted to continue to come there. Never again!

Dinner was delicious. Service was excellent. A little pricey but was fantastic overall

Lovely restaurant but really no healthy choices. Portions on the small side. Amazing bar and beautiful drinks. Service was good!
