Cantoro Trattoria is a family owned upscale yet casual Italian restaurant featuring house made pastas and traditional Italian cuisine including a variety of pizzas cooked in our wood burning pizza oven. Our in house sommelier and general manager Ian McClain maintains a complete wine list from around the world with emphasis on selections from Italy. Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020,2021, and 2022. Mlive "Top 10 List" for best Italian restaurant's in Michigan 2017 and 2022.

    No acknowledgement from server about birthday reservation. Server was never around when needed as courses were delivered. Had to find her to ask for red pepper flakes after pizza arrived and everyone was already eating, had to find her and wait again for parm at pasta course after everyone had already started eating. Had to find her to ask for refill twice. Had to ask about birthday dessert. Made you feel like you were bothering her and wasn’t accommodating at all. Would return to the bar for service but never again for restaurant seating.

    Tracy did a great job, patient and didn't try pushing us out the door. We were introducing guests to Cantoro's and they were very pleased.

    My favorite Italian restaurant and many items are so different but each one is cooked to perfection! Have been coming here since they first opened and never had a bad meal. Serves/staff are always pleasant. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

    Overall experience was good until we were abruptly interrupted during a business meeting and was told we had to leave, the table was reserved for another party. This after I absolutely confirmed with the reservation and confirmation that we would not be put in this position. I even stated we needed a minimum 3 hour timeframe. I was told not to worry both times I inquired. Well, they were not giving in and asked us to leave. When I approached the Manager , Alex to share my disappointment with him, he simply stated I am sorry for the misunderstanding (there was none - I confirmed what I needed 2 times prior to the event) and walked away from me. This was an important meeting where I was held responsible for attendees and time, absolutely felt not one staff member took a moment to care. Had I known, I would have gone to another venue. This one incident changed the whole evening for me and my team.

    Work colleagues and vendors in for dinner, we shared all entrees like family style. Food and wine were excellent!

    Food was fine. Value? Wine was fine. I asked for separate checks so I could buy the wine bottles, server split the checks. Wasn’t offered dessert, huh? I’d go back, but not as a first choice.

    It's always a delight for the senses, sight, taste, and olfactory, at Cantoro. The atmosphere is always bright and upbeat.The diners are a great mix of ages so it's comfortable for everyone. The food is delicious, the menu has good variety. The service is always pleasant and efficient.
