Located in the Historical Defoe Building, La Vita e Bella is spread over three intimate dining rooms. Our menu focuses on fresh, from our homemade pasta to our handcrafted desserts everything we serve is done with care.     Very good service and food! I was a little upset as in my notes I said it was my partners birthday but nothing was mentioned but overall the service was great and our food was amazing.

    After reading several reviews we decided to try Cardinale. The service was excellent. All staff very incredibly attentive and congenial. Unfortunately our food was all really one note. We started with the Calamari which was cooked perfectly however the fryer oil was dirty and left an unappetizing bitterness on our palettes. My daughter ordered the Buccatini which she loved, though it was missing some acid to cut the richness. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca The sauce was delicious, the veal far too chewy and fatty. The best part of the dish was the Swiss Chard. It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other so visit really, and for these special occasions when we can treat ourselves it was quite disappointing. Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever go back.

    Staff were lovely. It’s hard to get good service these days. But they go above and beyond. The food was delicious, everything we ordered was a hit. The ambiance is perfect to interact with your group, not too loud, great lighting. Would recommend to anyone.
