From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

    What a special place! The food is impeccable and the service is friendly and attentive. Try the whipped ricotta, the soppesetta pizza, and the crab pasta.

    Walked in and had high hopes. Place has a cool vibe. Drinks were good but pricey. The whipped ricotta app was good but the focaccia stale. My pasta dish was so incredibly salty. The service was attentive. but I would not return.

    This was our first (though probably not our last) meal at this restaurant. The food was good, the ambiance was attractive, and the portions were ample. Only two complaints: 1. Though it was still early on a weekday evening, the restaurant was much too noisy for most seniors. The four of us had a very hard time communicating, and we were in the QUIETER section of the restaurant! The music was too loud, which contributed to the noise level, but the walls and floors also were unforgiving in that regard. 2. The waitstaff, though pleasant, couldn't keep our order straight and served almost every menu item to the wrong party at our table. (Not a big deal, of course--we simply traded courses amongst ourselves--but annoying nevertheless.

    Lovely neighborhood restaurant. Great ambience. Food was not outstanding and exceptionally expensive for what it is

    First time, and we'll be back. We had the chopped salad (basically a chopped antipasto), chicken parm and Gemelle pasta (pesto and basil). The food was obviously made to order and was great. Every dish was big enough for at least two people and we took home the extra portions. Made a great dinner of left overs. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu (the Pizza at the next table looked and smelled really good). The service was pleasant and helpful...it's a well run restaurant.

    Lovely dinner with friends. We ordered family style as the portions are substantial. Everything we tried was interesting and delicious. Really enjoyed the pesto made with pistachios. We also got to try a new dessert. It's becoming a neighborhood favorite!

    Our dinner at Carina Sorella was delicious once again! Everything was spot on! Wehad the octopus that was done perfectly, not too tough at all. The whipped ricotta was amazing as was the chopped salad. Pizzas were so good, the dough / crust was cooked to perfection and the flavors of the pear pizza were out of this world with speck, thyme, talleggio and honey. Lastly we also ordered two pastas - the gemelli and rigatoni and everyone loved both.

    The food was delicious. The pancakes are so fluffy and yummy, the best I’ve had in years! My children enjoyed their meals as well. We had the breakfast pizza, and the fancy grilled cheese, the sweet bread that it was made on was so good. My husband had the crab pasta and enjoyed that as well.

    Our first time here and it won't be our last. The cocktails and food are very good. Fresh pastas are excellent as are the pizzas. Our Server Joseph Z was excellent; very friendly, attentive and helpful. Only thing they can improve is the loudness. Difficult to have a conversation. Begin by lowering the volume of the music. It's not a disco. Other than that, looking forward to returning.
