Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too.
The menu is Modern European with a specials menu that changes regularly and plenty of choice on the drinks and cocktail menu.

Family birthday celebration. The service and attention to detail was fantastic as was the food. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon lunch snd birthday celebration and we would highly recommend!

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch to celebrate a family birthday. Prompt service, well cooked food and great service. We requested that the music be turned down as a member of our party suffers from tinnitus and this was readily accommodated. Thank you so much for your understanding.

In life you have have one chance to get things right especially in the customer service industry. We arrived at the restaurant were seated and given the menus.We chose two cocktails and a bottle of wine which was unavailable. So second choice the premier Malbec which was served and then left on the table in the bottle. Our starters arrived we had those very good .. still no cocktails.. I asked for these an apology made and they arrived with our mains no charge was made. My wife ordered a steak medium well someone must have cut the carotid artery her plate was swimming.. this went back meanwhile I finished my medium rare.. cooked very well. Her steak reappeared after at least a ten minute wait she ate on her own as I had done. Our plates were cleared 30/ 40 minutes no desert menus so we asked for the bill and left. Once they realised there had been issues we were offered shots etc but the evening treat had gone A real shame the area needs good restaurants.

The menu at Carlos has changed for the better - we all chose the vegetarian menu instead of Sunday roast (although they do have fish on the menu too). Our servers Elliot & Anabela were fantastic & dealt well with all our requests. A great Sunday afternoon, wonderful food service & ambience - will definitely be back. Thanks too to Mehmet.

Amazing evening celebrating my birthday with a friend it was an even extra special evening as they had entertainment there a magician he was amazing and the restaurant was full. It was really nice. I’m a regular at B&V and I enjoyed the evening. It was lovely will definitely always return. Service is always outstanding. Staff are always friendly so it’s definitely worth a visit, especially for special occasions.
