   Our first experience at Carmine’s Atlantic City was disappointing. We visited on Monday, December 30th, with great expectations. Walk in to a nicely decorated room, and were sat downstairs. Although surprised at the cafeteria style table arrangement we settled in and felt comfortable. Regretfully the night went downhill from there. Our server was abrupt, and got upset because we asked for menus. We told him it was our first time dinning there, so instead of explaining how it works and pointing to menus on the wall (honestly we thought they were decorative reflecting past history) he said well let me see if I can find some, and after a long while drop the menus at our table. With 8 of us we were not sure what or how to order. Our waiter was somewhat helpful, but you could tell he was impatient. We ordered a salad, that was very good. We saw bread delivered to other tables and asked if bread was included or we had to pay extra. He said it was complimentary and would be served with the salad. Well we ate our salad, and after a long wait he came to ask how was the salad and we said it was great but no bread ever came. He responded that they had ran out of bread and the chef was not making any more… OK, we were surprised (Italian restaurant and all) but rolled with the punches. The food went from great (lasagna) to run of the mill chicken parm with ziti, to an awful chicken saltimbocca. The chicken parm was thin and almost burnt, and the chicken saltimbocca (very thin and dried) and the accompanying spaghetti was lukewarm, almost cold. Since we were celebrating my BFF birthday, we ordered a bread pudding. Waited about half an hour and started to wonder if the lack of bread was to blame… when it finally arrived with a few candles and few wait staff singing happy birthday (very nice gesture). I would caution that this was our experience, that we may have hit it on a bad time, and give the waiter the benefit of the doubt. I nor my family would return or recommend.

   Drinks, food and service were excellent! We had Laura as our server and she made the night extra special! Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town!

   We came here for a Family dinner and everything was great. The food portions were great and service was great.

   We had a great time. We were celebrating my sister's 50th birthday and it was amazing. The good was delicious and our waitress was so kind. In addition we had a drink at the bar before we sat and had some amazing negroni's!

   We waited a long time before our server came. We were handed bread but waited a while before getting water or any sort of service.

   Awesome food, awesome service! Made a reservation a month in advance for 5:00, we were catching a show! Got there 45 minutes early, all empty tables. Hostess was extremely rude and shouldn't be working with the public. We asked to be seated earlier and she said we couldn't, she explained she was over booked. We sat at the bar and had some drinks. 5:00 came and went, she sat every table for 5:00 before us! Rude! Finally we spoke to another host who sat us right away, and he couldn't believe we weren't seated yet. Too many restaurants to choose from in AC to be treated like this!

   Long time customer very disappointed waited long for cocktail never received bread until we asked for it no plates on table for main meal bread hard food was very disappointing Not like it was.

   Great food and service ! For these associates that had to work on Christmas Day, we say thank you for serving us… all the best, Merry Christmas and happy new year. We wanna come back next year.
