Wasnt seated until 45 min after reservation time on Valentines Day. They did not offer any compensation to make up for the hugely delayed seating time, and i had to ask to have something comped to make up for it. They gave a free dessert, though the cake we got was pretty dry. Overall the food was pretty good with some misses. The Caesar salad was delicious, highlight of the night really. The Bolognese with ziti was very good, though the noodles were on the dry side. Again, the Chocolate cake dessert was dry and my girlfriend wouldnt eat more than a bite of it. Overall i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone i know.

Excellent experience. The waiter was quite attentive and the food was prepared exactly to our liking. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a date night or just a casual evening downtown.

For the majority of our dinner we felt like we were the only people here and the service was amazing

Great service and meal. Portions are large even for two people. You won’t be disappointed.

Carmines used to have white table cloths and with paper on the table for kids to draw on. It was one reason we went back for our Christmas Eve dinner, because it’s fun to draw with my son and play games. The tables were just bare. No paper, no table cloths, it just felt bare and lack luster. Kind of sad almost. No personality. I booked our reservation in October and when arrived we were seated in the very back of the restaurant in a corner next to a hostess computer. That was super depressing. I asked to be moved and they were very accommodating. The service was great and very attentive. But the restaurant just didn’t feels as warm and inviting as it used to. Such a bummer.

The ambience is mediocre—no tablecloths, candles or flowers—tables are restaurant boring. The food is consistently good although we noticed a slight reduction in quantity. The staff was great. Overall, Carmine’s did not disappoint and we had a nice shared dinner.
