For being a holiday, the service was great. The minestrone soup was fantastic and our main courses were very good. Our calamari was a little disappointing but overall a pretty good meal.

Dining at Carmines is always the ultimate experience. Everything from the atmosphere, food, drinks and the service is always outstanding. No other restaurant greets you as warmly as the entire staff of Carmines does.

Initially, everything was good. We were seated in an area that had a horrible draft, and cold air was flowing in like crazy. And I wasn't the only one complaining. Our server was attentive, but when more people came in, it was very hard to be noticed until I elevated my voice for his attention.

Everything was great we were seated right away, our server was on top of his game. And we went with the turkey special for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint. The turkey was an ample amount, mashed potatoes and stuffing were phenomenal in the pie at the end was a large piece. The server was amazing very attentive and constantly checking on us. The restaurant is a little pricey but well worth it.

We arrived at 4:00 before the kitchen was busy. My halibut was tough exterior soft inside. $50 expectations were $30 “not delicious “. My daughter had vodka rigatoni which was not tasty and just stuck to the pasta, Just the coated noodles with nothing extra sauce, which didn’t taste lmemorable, my son was not happy with his seafood antipasto. The cost was very expensive for the unimpressive food and lack if taste for each dish. Not returning nor recommending. The Rosebud in the city IS delicious.

Great food great staff and great experience. Such friendly employees and as always the best food. It’s become our go to for all business lunches.

Consistently one of our favorite palces near O'Hare when picking up or dropping off out of town guests. Portions remain generous, food is flavorful and well prepared. Service is great and we've never felt rushed.
