   When in Austin, dinner at Caroline it is: excellent food - in particular we enjoyed the crab & artichoke dip. Great service: just the right level of attention, food arrived quickly. Good choice of drinks, including Texan wine.

   Amazing food, excellent presentation and friendly service. Every dish we had was great, from the charred short rib to the miso salmon, as well as all of the starters.

   My partner and I dined here on New Year’s Eve. We had later reservations and when we arrived the restaurant was not busy. Our server, Ed, was rude/dismissive from the start. I asked if they had a wine menu and he flipped my menu without saying anything and walked away. He came back to take our food order and then 30 minutes went by and we didn’t see him. Every table sat after us in our area was eating their meals. My partner had to go to the bartender to ask if our server was able to place our food order as we hadn’t seen him. We had not seen him because he had left after placing our food order so our food went dead in the kitchen. When they remade our food and brought it out it had nuts on it, which my partner is extremely allergic to and told the server. They once again remade our food and offered us a drink from the bar on them. We had plans afterwards so just wanted to finish our meal and leave. The food was good and the manager was apologetic but the dining experiences was one of the worst I have had. I understand it was a holiday and this may not be the typical dying experience.

   Truly a magical lunch with my family for Christmas. Big thanks to our server, Noah R for the kindness and top notch hospitality. Food was super tasty and came out in a timely manner. Every person we came in contact with was as absolutely kind and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

    We went for Christmas Day lunch. Our server was delightful. Cheery, accommodating, and witty! The food was a mixed bag. We ordered the prime rib rare, but it came out well done. They don't specialize in prime rib, and that can be difficult to execute well. The gooey butter cake was overly sweet. The bread pudding was excellent. My mom enjoyed her pasta dish and my extended family seemed to enjoy their food just fine. All-in-all, an okay experience.
