   Excellent service! Our favorites were the espresso martini and the shrimp and grits! The ambiance is great for a date night and it was quick service.

   Server was kind but inattentive, didn’t visit the table frequently enough. Manager brought our food and didn’t ask if we needed anything. We needed new silverware as they took them after our oysters and apps. No one came by after 5 plus minutes so I took them from a table nearby so our entree wouldn’t get cold. Tried waiving the manager down for water because server was busy but he never looked up from his phone. Be present or go out of customer sight. Terrible look for a restaurant.

   Oysters & fish were great as always. The wagu burger was not up to Caroline's standards. Any fast-food restaurant serves a better burger and it's not $22.

   Oysters were great, entrees were ok. I got salmon and it was overcooked and in a broth. I may have missed the broth base in the description but it was definitely unexpected. We were seated in a corner which must have been a black hole because service was lacking. I had to go to the bar to order a second round of drinks for our table.

   Well, this experience was lackluster. We were never greeted by our server. The host had to take our drink and appetizer order. The cocktail was one from their holiday menu and it was not good. Too bitter. Our oysters were fresh and tasty, but for the price of the entrees, the presentation and taste was just mid. While the serve finally came over, she never once apologized for not greeting us, never gave us her name and didn’t thank us for dining. I went there to take a fellow coworker in town for work for oysters and it was just not the experience we weee looking for. I definitely will not recommend and I won’t be coming back for a while… if that.

   The experience was bad from start to finish. I had the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were tough, dry and tasteless. I never send anything back; ever. I had to send them back, the second time was as bad. The waitress never came by to ask if it was okay. I felt validated when a couple at a nearby table also sent their shrimp cocktail back. One would think that a shrimp cocktail is standard fare at a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Next up was our salads which were not fresh. Lettuce was orange around the edges. Vegetables were not limp. My husband had to wait 20 minutes for a beer. Again, waitress nowhere to be seen. We had ordered a bottle of sparkling water. It was never poured. Main course was mussels and fries. Mussels weee good, fries were cold. The waitress finally came around and tossed the bill on the table. Never asked us if we wanted coffee or dessert. The manager was on his phone the entire night and completely disengaged from what was going on at the restaurant. After waiting 15-20 minutes to pay the bill, we had to get up to go to the counter to pay. As we did so, our waitress finally came around and offered us a free dessert. No thanks. Not sure if we got this place on a (really) bad night but it was shockingly bad.

    The food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. The service is top notch. A great place for a date, family dinner, or just enjoying excellent food. Never had a bad experience at Caroline’s.
