Carriages is one of the best restaurants we ever been and we recommended to try the food it's wonderful, and the staff is the friendliest.

A lovely afternoon tea, traditionally served. Amazing value - 4 types of finger sandwiches - twice as many as we were expecting, 2 glasses of Prosecco, refills in out tea pots. Lovely waiting staff, quiet, friendly, attentive but not in the way. We weren't hurried at all and were even given a tour round when we expressed an interest. A lovely setting. we are already talking about our return and who we will bring with us. Also liked the parking - not lots of parking, but sufficient - with marked spaces for larger cars.

We have eaten here a few times now and it is always amazing. The service is always good and friendly.

The Sunday dinner menu at carriages was perfect for a special occasion, the starter of asparagus with smoked salmon followed by roast beef with all the trimmings and tiramisu for pudding was excellent, staff were lovely and the added gesture of limoncello shot afterwards rounded off the meal.
