   It's a nice restaurant, but some things have thrown me off the last few times I've visited. (1)The food is clearly upcharged by 20-30% on holidays like New Years Eve, Valentines Day, Etc. I've been there enough times to recognize a steak marked at $75+ was $55 the day before.. I get it from a business perspective but it seems ridiculous and not necessary. It bothers me seeing the price differences. (2) the owner/hostess has been rude and pushy to me consistently the last few times I've been. She always wants to sit you outside in the "patio" and guilt-trips/pressures you into sitting outide when you request inside seating, even if you requested it in your initial reservation. It sours the experience for me and starts off a nice dinner date on the wrong foot. She gives off a very unpleasant and unfriendly vibe. (3) the service has fallen off for me. I keep going in with a positive outlook but I keep finding myself being ignored. It takes forever to get our order in, we don't get the bread appetizers that other tables have, our orders get mixed up, and our servers aren't providing a thoughtful/special dining experience. That being said I cannot complain about the food. It is always amazing and keeps me coming back for more. However, although I've been a long time customer, visiting for many special occasions and holidays, I've decided to choose a new restaurant for future special occasions.

   The atmosphere of this downtown Ventura restaurant is very upscale. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as when we last went there. Maybe we went on an off night, so we will try it again sometime.

   We were in Ventura to get out of the way of the Pasadena fire and we parked and walked in and they took great care of us and served us some amazing food. We also got to watch the Notre Dame game. It has a really nice feel..

   Horrible I made reservations in plenty of time and they literally sat us at the bar saying they have no place for us. And then the tried to seat us at another table with another party. Insane I felt.. so I took my date and walked out.

   We were celebrating my husband 75th B.D. our server Mike was very pleasant. He listened to all requests. He answered all our questions and suggested substitutions when needed. He treated our 9 year old great granddaughter like an adult, helping her to find the right entree for dinner. The food was wonderful. The Sea Bass melted in the mouth. It was a perfect experience for my husband birthday.

   Great place for the Christmas holiday but request inside seating away from bar area. They were working really hard but between the music and the plates and glasses getting tossed around it was hard to hear each other. Much quieter seating behind. Pricey but you get large portions and will be quite satisfied. Waitstaff and everyone were top notch despite how busy it was. Drinks on point.

   Made a reservation on November 15 for Christmas dinner. We arrived promptly at 6 PM which was the time of our reservation. A large crowd was gathered around the entrance to the restaurant. We checked in and were told that they were way behind and hadn't even begun to seat 5:45 reservations. I hate to wait in any kind of line; that is why I make a reservation. In this case, it was Christmas dinner, so we offered to sit at the bar. We were told that there was no room inside the restaurant and we would have to stand outside with the rest of the people and wait until a table became available. It is hard for me to understand that a restaurant that apparently regularly takes reservations could fall so far behind on such an important night for their customers. Fortunately for us, there was a Thai restaurant next door to Casa that was open. We were greeted by the employee at the counter who wished us a Merry Christmas and apologized that our to go order would take twenty minutes because they were busy. The food came out on time and we marched back to our hotel room to enjoy our food. Another Christmas memory-- Thai food for Christmas in a hotel room in Ventura. This is probably not the memory the Casa wanted us to have, but, hey, I probably saved over $100!

    It was way overpriced and the service was awful - the manager was rude and it was Christmas- yes they were busy but they knew that going in… terrible
