Had a great meal at Casa Italian in Whitehaven. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with a well-thought-out design that feels both modern and cozy. The food was well-cooked and nicely presented. The pasta was fresh and had a good balance of flavors, and the pizza had a crispy base with generous toppings. The garlic bread was a nice starter, and the dessert menu had some great options too. There’s also a decent selection of wines and cocktails, which added to the experience. Service was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long for food despite the restaurant being fairly busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for good Italian food in the area. Would be happy to return.

Our visit was a pleasant experience. It was nice to see the owner present during our visit as it did enhance our experience. The food was lovely; we had the Casa Italian pizza, which was amazing, and I'd be back just for that.

Casa Italian is a lovely spot for a meal in Whitehaven. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a nice balance of modern and traditional decor. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was well-prepared and enjoyable. The pasta was cooked nicely, and the pizza had a good, crisp base with fresh toppings. The garlic bread was a nice starter, and the portion sizes were just right. There’s also a good selection of wines and cocktails to complement the meal. Overall, a solid choice for Italian food in the area. Would definitely visit again.

Greeted and seated well. Left with the menu. Waitress attentive took our order well. Lovely large jug of ice water. My partner ordered prosecco which she said was warm. My Malbec was good Food arrived in a timely manner My carbonara was good, not the best I have had but certainly not the worst My partner had the chicken risotto said the rice and mushrooms were very nice, however the chicken and peppers appeared to have been added after cooking and were cool and the peppers were undercooked The garlic bread was quite comfortably the worst we have ever had. We sent the first one back as it was just a stodgy mess that had no garlic. The replacement had a slight taste of garlic but the centre of the pizza base just wasn't cooked at all and was drowned in oil. It was disgusting We told the waitress what we thought of the food, stressed that it wasn't her fault. Paid and left. Bad night? Or New chef required? We won't know because we won't be back

Not the greatest dining experience, to be honest. Apart from the steak - which was apparently delicious - and the pornstar martinis themselves which were nice, the rest of the evening just didn't hit well. The food was not particularly tasty and some was overcooked and barely edible. The pornstars came with flat champagne. The restaurant clearly also doesn't know what a seafood platter that's made for sharing should look like. It shouldn't be a bowl of sloppy food all thrown in put in the middle with no plates to use. You just end up slopping juice all over the table and can't get to the prawns until you've waded through the mussels! The service was ok but it did feel like all the staff were work experience kids from school. The restaurant wasn't especially busy but trying to get their attention for more drinks or issues with food or drink was difficult. They were nice enough but just inexperienced.

Hi Ken, sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. It was good to read you enjoyed our steak dish and the cocktails. Sorry the Pornstar prosecco was flat. Our seafood platter is one of our most popular starters, we get lots of good feedback with the fresh seafood. We find lots of couples order this dish and just prefer to share and eat it within the bowl and sauce which it comes in, but we've made a note on this. Our helpful staff would have been more than happy to get you a fresh shot or some side plates if requested. In regards to the staff, due to the attractiveness of the NDA, it leaves very little adults free. When we recruited, we received 1 'adult' job applicant. Additionally, we will not discriminate against age whilst recruiting as outlined in the employment laws.

A good, comfortable night, apart from a very loud group of four young men - just part of the night, and realise they were just having a good time. Appreciate we were ‘allowed’ to stay from 5-30 until almost last out!!! A good night!!

Myself and my wife both had lasagne one with salad one with chips both of which we enjoyed, unfortunately the two people accompanying us weren’t as lucky, one had what was advertised as creamy pollo risotto which in fact was void of cream and was swimming in olive oil, the other had the spaghetti meatballs which was tasteless because it was dry and void of any sauce , both of these complaints were made to the waitress who said she had passed their remarks but no response was forthcoming, won’t be in a hurry to go back
    Casa ItalianResponded 2 days ago
Hi Donald, Sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us, although we do appreciate you enjoyed your dish :) We do apologise again about the other two dishes, we appreciate that you had raised this with the staff. We don't tend to give any feedback from the kitchen back to the table as to why a dish may be a particular way, which is for several reasons. What we do tend to do is remake the dish to your liking. Thanks, Casa.
