   I expected a bit more atmosphere And although the food was good and our server was professional I found the drinks a bit weak and they took a long time to arrive. Feels like for a family dinner you could do better

   Terrible food. Missing guac the most basic things of Mexican restaurant and no fries. Taco was the only good thing. Do not recommend.

   We booked a seat on their rooftop patio, were alerted when we arrived that there was a private event and we had to sit in the main level. The women at the front door seemed very standoffish and cranky. We got sat in the very far back corner at a table for 6 right beside the only other group in the restaurant, even though we were a group of 3. We waited about 5 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order but darted off midway through us speaking to finish up another tables tab. We left before ordering.

   Was looking for a Mexican restaurant to have dinner before a theatre show and this place showed up. The menu seemed to have the best variety of options, so I made reservations. First off there’s no ac and we’re in the middle of a heat wave (stayed on the first floor since cooler than upstairs, but there’s a weird musty smell). Ordered the mushroom tacos due to food restrictions (nut allergy and plant based). Basically was just sautéed with like a tsp of tiny pineapple bits. Others at the table ordered meat tacos which came very wet, a pool of watery liquid formed in their plate Another ordered the garlic shrimp which came warm and was placed on a cold salad. Had churros for dessert but they were hard, didn’t seem very fresh. Had different margaritas which were amazing! So basically if you want a casual place to hang out with friends and have drinks with good music this would be the place. Not really a sit down restaurant kinda of vibe.

From traditional tacos and enchiladas to innovative and flavorful creations The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent suggestions and ensured our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable Casa Mezcal also offers a great selection of cocktails. The ambiance was lively, yet not overpowering, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. Overall, Casa Mezcal is a must-visit for anyone in Toronto looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience. The combination of exceptional food, a wide variety of mezcal, and outstanding service makes it a standout choice in the downtown area. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

   It took 15 minutes to bring us venues.then we received dirty dishes and a glass rgat was chipped. The ceviche was terrible

    Ordered chips and salsa. Got charged for 2 baskets-only asked for 1, also charged for extra side of pico. Had I known chips and salsa would cost $15 I would have ordered nachos for $19. Otherwise the tacos were great and service fast.
