Casa Mono and its sister restaurant, Bar Jamon, are located next to each other on Irving Place and 17th Street, just east of Union Square. Awarded three stars from The New York Times in 2015 and a Michelin Star in 2009 (and every year since), Casa Mono is a tapas bar restaurant inspired by the cooking of Spain’s Costa Brava.

    A wonderful tapas experience with delicious ingredients some new and some standards. Service was great as was the wine selection. Our table expensed a little too much volume from the music in the speaker but this was but a small blemish in in otherwise outstanding dinner.

    The food was great and the wine was even better. The best dish was the pig ears, but the Iberico ham,.while pricey, shouldn't be missed especially paired with the pan de tomate. I already can't wait to go back.

    Food has great reputation. Ours was a little iffy. Grilled octopus couldn’t be cut with a knife but the endive below was great. Bone marrow could use more marrow and less grease. Sweetbreads were delicious with the chopped macadamia nuts. It’s a back to place for sure

    Spectacular from start to finish, We went with staff recs for both food and wine to craft a tasting menu that was on par with some of the best I’ve ever had. Not to be missed.
