Our current hours are as follows.
Monday - Thursday, Dinner 4:30pm to 9:00pm
Friday- Saturday, Dinner 4:30pm to 9:30pm

Policies: We do require a credit card for reservations. We reserve the right to charge guests who do not show up for their reservations or cancel within a 24 hour notice.
The charge for NO SHOW is $35 per guest. We will hold your table for 15min max, and will automatically allot 2hrs for your dining pleasure.
Parties of 5 or more will need to make special accommodations with the hostess.

          The restaurant was charming, the staff were so nice and professional, and the food was excellent. We highly recommend Casanova.

          The waiter was passive aggressive towards us. He did nothing to make the experience a nice night out. I made comments to the manager on duty. It was unfortunate because it was my birthday and it was a somber night.

          The duck confit entree was superb. Crispy on.the outside and tender inside on a bed of delicious savory beans and greens. The linguini with shrimp and shellfish was delicious and the shrimp were huge and tasted like lobster. Perfectly cooked. Generous portion as well. The bread course is delicious and for our anniversary they treated us to a champagne toast for our table. We come here every time we visit Carmel

          My wife and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! I reserved the specific table I proposed to my wife at and the server was so kind as to offer us both a sip of champagne when we told him about it. My wife had the Seafood Linguini and I had the pork chop, which is not usually on the menu. They have an extensive selection of wines with a sommelier and a full bar. We come to Carmel a few times a year and we must dine here when we are in town.

          Poor service and definitely not worth the price. Cons: - waited an hour for our meal after placing the order. Also, the staff told another table because they ordered late their food would be late, which was not true - the wagyu was not real wagyu - our table did not have a heater and we did not have the option to move. We would not have booked if we knew we would be sitting outside. Pros: - I will say the wine selection was pretty good.

          I’ve been dining at this restaurant for over 20 years, watching it evolve through various ownerships and management teams. At its peak, it was one of Carmel’s finest—known for its impeccable service, thoughtful farm-to-table approach, and a menu that catered to a range of palates, including vegetarians. Unfortunately, those days seem to be long gone. While the setting remains charming, the experience has noticeably declined. The menu is now strikingly limited, and vegetarians, in particular, will find their options sparse. Even more disappointing is the restaurant’s firm stance against substitutions or modifications—something that feels out of touch in a time when flexibility and hospitality should go hand in hand. The food itself? Just okay. While plated nicely, the flavors were uninspired, bordering on bland. A far cry from the creative, vibrant dishes that once defined this place. Service, once a standout, is now transactional at best. The warmth and engagement that made regulars feel like family have been replaced with a detached efficiency that lacks personality. It’s disheartening to see a restaurant with such a storied reputation lose its way. Carmel has no shortage of excellent dining options, and sadly, this one no longer stands among them. Here’s hoping for a return to what once made it great.
