   Almost didn’t make it this year to my favorite spot on the island. It’s almost sad that they are so busy and hard to get into this time of year but I am happy for them and they made tonight a special one. I renewed my vows with my wife and the piano player played our song while we dined and drank. I can’t say enough about the spicy vodka rigatoni. I could eat this everyday and not get tired of it. We kept it light with sashimi shots and shared a surf and turf. As always deep fried Oreos for the win for dessert.

   Food was very good but the service continues to take far too long to get it. This has become a trademark for Catch as it is the 3rd time at the restaurant with the same experience. Needs to be addressed.

   Met other friends for dinner. We had a party for seven and they accommodated us without problem. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend trying the gold leaf salad. It was incredible. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling here.

   Just don't. Ambiance - diner. Menu - tries too hard and doesn't deliver. Service - maddening. Arrived 10 minutes early to a 7:30 reservation. They had us wait at the bar even though several tables were available, including the table 5 feet from our bar location where they eventually seated us. Happened to another couple who arrived at the same time. I guess they sell more drinks that way. I had mahi mahi daily special with Parmesan sauce. Too much sauce and not much flavor. Meh. Side was two small sprigs of broccolini, two small carrot slices, one chunk of cauliflower and one small sprig of asparagus. I'd call it 1/3 serving of vegetables. Partner had seafood risotto. It was more like flavored yellow rice than risotto, and the seafood mixed in was sub par. At the end of the meal, we asked for a glass of the 20 yr Tawny Port. They didn't have it so we just asked for the check. Despite all the shortcomings, the service was actually the worst part. Darwin was robotic but inoffensive for most of the meal but after we didn't take his suggestion for an alternative to the port, he ignored us. After asking for the bill the first time, my wife went to the reception to ask for a taxi knowing it might take a while to get a taxi to this location at ~9pm on Christmas night. Darwin proceeded to serve and check on several tables around me for the next 15+ minutes. I flagged him down to ask for the check again and told him we had a taxi coming. At some point the receptionist came in to tell me the taxi was arriving and I explained I was still waiting to pay the bill. She apologized and hurried away. Darwin came to the table finally and then immediately went to the bar to give them the credit card machine. When he came back a few minutes later I expressed frustration at waiting for 15+ minutes and told him our taxi was now waiting. "It wasn't 15 minutes but I don't want to argue with you." Underserved 15% service charge. Just don't.

   Returned here for Christmas Eve dinner. Service is outstanding. Food is even better. Top tier dining experience all around. Could not recommend it more. Fantastic.

   We booked believing this was part of the Dutch Catch franchise, which it is, but is sadly far from being as good as its Scheveningen sister.

    Catch is a lovely restaurant but compared to our previous meals on the island, the food was mediocre (over-cooked fish and smothered in too much sauce to hide that fact) and more expensive. Service and atmosphere was great but the overall lack of patrons during one of the busiest weeks on the island suggests something is amiss.
