Fondé en 1989, le bar-restaurant reconnu Cav sert un menu raffiné et contemporain, dans une atmosphère de loft unique, avec une hauteur de 4 mètres sous un plafond en frêne et des murs en briques. Everything is always excellent. The service, the food, the ambiance etc. Favorite Providence restaurant.

We wondered whether CAV would continue to meet the high standards of its late owner. But there was nothing to worry about. Everything was as good as ever. For appetizers, the cheese croquettes were good but not excellent. However, the dumplings (I think that's what they were called) where an absolute hit. My friend reported the duck entree to be very good, and my swordfish special entree could not have been prepared or presented better. CAV offers gracious service, excellent live music, and lovely and unique surroundings. My only complaint might be that it was difficult to hear conversation over the live music and background noise. Overall, CAV definitely remains one of the top choices for dining in Providence.

The food at CAV never disappoints. The scallops were delicious and my dinner partner loved the swordfish. It was a very busy Wednesday night with the jazz trio playing, but the service was excellent. We sat two tables from the band and although they were excellent, they were very loud. So loud we had to virtually yell to hear each other. If you go on a Wednesday night, sit on the side of the restaurant opposite the band.

Always a good stop!! Best french toast! Reception is a bit attitudish but once you sit servers are great. Make a reservation...

We came here after a wake down the street to catch up and have a nice evening, and the service and decor was amazing. Our server was amazing- so attentive and great with recommendations. The food was unreal- We got the goat cheese croquettes to start which were much smaller than anticipated (think cheese ball size) and there were only four or five. For the main meal I got the Parmesan crusted chicken and my friend got the fresh cut pasta, and both were fantastic. The sauce that my chicken was in was maybe the most delicious thing I’ve ever had and the chicken was so moist and tender. I wish I was closer to this place- I would for sure be back for fancy occasions as this is a little pricier than I am used to. It may be worth the drive in the future for a repeat trip. Thank you for an amazing meal!

The goat cheese croquettes were so small and over priced! High prices for smaller dishes. The pizza was good and the scallops and shrimp dinner was good. The mushroom risotto was not good and got a stomach from it. Really like the decor and ambience but not sure we’ll go back.

Lovely date night! Beautiful ambiance! Food was beyond delicious! We ordered the brussel sprouts, lobster bisque, scallops, filet mignon, mashed potatoes and chocolate torte! Brussel sprouts and filet stole the show! Only two very minor complaints: we were seated way too close to other couples and there were plenty of open tables that night, and the sides served with the scallops were bland/basic compared to the last time we dined there. Still had a great evening!

Pre theater early dinner. We did not want to have a heavy meal so we shared a bruschetta. I had special salad w/chicken delicious dressing! My husband had special salad with Tuna that he raved about We will be back for a “real” dinner!Such a unique and cozy spot , romantic too!

Very romantic venue and I will give them another chance to make up for the cold soup and improper pacing of my meal. The food was at a price point that should require more care in preparation but the ambiance and service were top notch.
