   Went for NYE, it was ok. The steak saved the whole meal. The soup was awful, I saw alot of tables send it back. The bartender only knew how to make the cocktails listed on the menu, anything else, he seemed lost. They've only been open since August, I hope next year is better.

   In all fairness, it was New Year’s Eve. However, they seemed very overwhelmed. They tried to give a good service, but possibly they were shorthanded. It took us three hours to have the pre-set menu. The main course, steak , was served very cold. We usually don’t leave food behind, but we had to. Definitely not worth the price. It may be the first time they do a pre set menu on a holiday so I can not speak to their regular menu and service.

   The News Years Eve pairing dinner was an excellent experience with energetic staff and great food. Thank you for the roof top New Years bash as well. The entire stay was excellent. Happy New Years

   The restaurant was not busy on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year’s. The focaccia bread was wonderful as an appetizer. The soup du jour was wild mushroom and was a big hit. We also had the beet/pear/kale salad which was outstanding. Our entrees were flavorful but for example my steak was not hot enough to melt the herbed butter that was on top, and my husband’s pasta (lobster tagliatelle) was lackluster. The Parmesan truffle fries were quite good, maybe the best example of that dish I have had anywhere!! The highlight of the meal was dessert!! The pavlova was divine with light, complex and complimentary flavors! And the brownie sundae was very good. The service was quite good and everyone at the hotel was pleasant. The complimentary valet parking was appreciated.

   This was a nice find in Downtown San Antonio. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

   The food was definitely “upscale hotel food” aka mediocre at best. But the dessert was absolutely unparalleled. If you’re coming here with your partner or a date, come here for the desserts and nothing else and you will have a fantastic time.

   The food was good, and the take on it was interesting. Cesar, our server, was excellent and had a great sense of humor. We had a good time with friends, and we met some other great people. James, the manager or maître d, was excellent and very conversational.

   It must have been an off night since it was Christmas Day. We went because of the high reviews so expectations were unfortunately high for us. My husband ordered the prime rib Christmas special. When it came out there were several chunks of well done meat not resembling prime rib whatsoever. They would have been better off saying they were out rather than serve that abomination. I had the Texas coulette which had great flavor but was undercooked from what I ordered. I wasn’t about to send it back since my husband had to get a new entree. And the Parmesan fries weren’t hot but oddly globbed together by hardened Parmesan cheese. My husband replaced the prime rib with sea bass and was very pleased with that. The onion soup and the mushroom soup were delicious! There was 10% taken off our bill for the prime rib disappointment which was not asked for but was very kind & generous for them to do. Service was excellent!! Kudos to our server and all the other waitstaff! Overall we might return, it will be awhile but not ruling it out. One off night won’t be a deterrent.

    Overall, excellent experience. Food was incredible! Cocktails on point. Staff very attentive but not overly so.
