The food that arrived wasn't hot and the only condiment which could be offered was cranberry sauce, no mustard or horseradish. Somewhat disappointing experience.

Soup and dessert were very good. Main course(three bird wellington) was dry and well overcooked. The fondant potato was burnt on top and hard to cut into. The potato inside was grey and tired. Vegetables over cooked too. Disappointing experience for £90 for two people Friendly staff though

My second visit during the Christmas Market was equally as enjoyable as the first one. Lovely food served by a very pleasant waitress. A good choice of Malbec which we tried to purchase from the Chatsworth shops unsuccessfully. I was slightly disappointed that the Sea Bass wasn’t on the menu though.

We are regulars, so know our way around the menu. The staff are always fantastic as is the ambience of the restaurant. Tonight I would say the food was not as carefully prepared as usual, perhaps due to the fact that the Christmas Market was underway presumably leading to greater footfall/bookings. The three bird wellington was lacking one of the meats and the pastry was overdone, the fondant dry. The smoked salmon starter was stunning as was the blackberry financier. I reiterate that the staff really make it a pleasure to dine at the Cavendish

Without hesitation, this was such a wonderful experience whilst visiting Chatsworth House for their festive Christmas experience yesterday! Booked back in August of this year to ensure we didn’t miss out on this amazing dining experience at The Cavendish restaurant, from the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect! The ambience, quality of food, presentation ….. absolutely everything was just perfect! We were treated with such care & attention. Would highly recommend. Special thanks go to Petra & Tash for taking care of us & providing us with the most amazing dining experience!

Expensive for the money. Table next to us was very noisy, which wasn’t the restaurants fault.
