Truly lovely dining experience with friends. We have always had good food here, but the service has been spotty. This time the service was exceptional and consistent with he quality of the food and ambience of this historic venue. Our server’s suggestion of the specialty pork belly dish to share was a hit with everyone at the table. Her service was quick and well timed. She had a good sense of when to let us enjoy our drinks and appetizers and when to appear to take our order. We all enjoyed the sablefish which was wonderfully done in a unique presentation with cabbage. The room is a little noisy. The grounds and hotel are festively decorated for the holiday making it a nice place to celebrate the season with friends.

Lovely restaurant and we were delighted to have our tea at one of the curved seat tables. The food was all very good, and some items were fantastic - like the scones, mushroom tarts, and lemon bars. The tea selection had a nice variety, too. We were attended to while also given plenty of time to enjoy our tea and conversation. All in all, a lovely experience and we’d love to return & recommend the tea highly!

Everything was wonderful especially when the Christmas carolers began to sing. It was like being in a Hallmark movie. Food was excellent and throughout our stay the service was fantastic!

Incredible Steak Salad – A Must-Try! I visited Cedar & Elm for lunch today and the steak salad blew me away! The steak was cooked to a tender, juicy medium-rare and seasoned to perfection. It was sliced thinly and layered over a bed of greens that were fresh and vibrant with a uber pleasing scent of lemon. What truly elevated the dish were the house-made vinaigrette which tied it all together beautifully, balancing the richness of the steak with a zesty fresh lemon kick. This salad is a perfect blend of indulgence and healthy eating. It was the best steak salad I have ever had so I will definitely come back to enjoy it again—highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memory maker!

My partner and I finally splurged and spent the night at The Lodge. Went for dinner as well at Cedar and Elm. Everything was outstanding. The food was delicious and gorgeous. We had the bread with the dirty drippings, which is a can’t miss, the gnudi was scrumptious, and the pork belly special with grapes was mind blowing! The poussin (baby chicken!) was also excellent. We also were able to say hello and thank you to the chef, Luke Kolpin, but I did not Top Chef fangirl him! We were too full for dessert, but came back for an excellent Sunday brunch the next morning. Both times we had excellent service from Abby (the resident ghost!), who was so sweet and professional. We will definitely be back to try more of the food. Definitely a highlight of the holiday season. Thank you!

Cedar + Elm is located in an elegant building, a former Roman Catholic seminary. Lots of history, and lots of ambiance.

Beautiful setting in a rennovated seminary. The grounds and The Lodge were beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our server was wonderful We shared the chacuterie plate and the beet salad, which was delicious. We would have liked a few more choices of food for lunch and a soup choice would have been nice. We loved our lunch!

We had a truly delightful birthday dinner at Cedar+ Elm. The Lodge is lovely and the dining room was comfortable and very nicely repurposed from its original use by the seminary. The menu had many unusual and interesting offerings and everything we had was delicious. The service was outstanding. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the things on the menu, a number of which we were unfamiliar with. She made it easy to decide with her detailed descriptions. We will go back and next time we'd like to spend the night at the Lodge and explore the park in the daylight. It was very dark in mid-December when we went so we couldn't see much of the park but it's worth a return trip.

Excellent brunch items and atmosphere. Our server was terrific and respectful. Love the grounds…can walk around after eating and enjoy the outdoor space or walk through the old seminary.
