    Cedar Creek has become one of our all time favorite restaurants over the years and Natalie is “the best” server we have ever had at any restaurant! But, let’s be honest… after 26 years in operation in Brea, Cedar Creek Inn’s tables are blemished, the seat cushions in the booths are lumpy, and there are some other signs of wear. It is definitely time for some capital improvements! And as long as we’re being totally honest, dump the 3% charge for use of a credit card. It is beneath a restaurant of your caliber. Just incorporate into your pricing like everyone else. Nobody carries $500 cash to pay for a party of 8 these days!

    Great food , and excellent service. Downside was food was more room temperature than hot, but still good experience overall.

    The food was excellent especially for a valentine’s menu. And our server Monica was awesome. She was friendly and attentive and kept checking on us even though it was busy. That’s how all waitress’s should be. The desert was really good too

    Six star waitress. Always prompt, friendly, and professional. Food arrived hot and properly cooked. Worth a return for brunch or lunch.

    CCI is one of our local restaurants that we frequent, and they do certain things well; some better than others. This go round, our meal was a pleasant experience and service attentive, cordial but distracted; and the kitchen inconsistent as usual when venturing off our favorites ordered off the main/usual menu. We tried to opt for the restaurant week special menu, but found that it was challenging on several entrees we ordered, (swordfish over baked/dry/stringy and covered with a heavy garlic Greek-style salsa topping, and a stuffed chicken dish that did not meet our expectations, nor was it consistent with the menu ingredients) and returned both to start again. Our re-orders of the cedar plank salmon (on the special menu) and the lamb chops (off the main menu) were delicious, and both are usually done well here. And of course their coconut cake was delicious. Paired our dinner with a 2017 Occidental Pinot Noir we brought that was EXCELLENT. The wine list has some respectable choices, but IMO is Cab heavy (ok with some of the richer dishes like steaks/prime ribs and other proteins they do well here), but had weaker Pinot options. Their wines by the glass offer some good selections, and some novelty, too, albeit you have to pick through the list. We left satisfied after the meal.

    We tried the Restaurant Week menu. For the $35 price, it was a good deal for 3 courses. Unfortunately, our server wasn't familiar with the menu and couldn't recommend anything or compare 2 of the dishes. She mentioned she is usually in the bar, but even so, wouldn't there be a briefing of the whole wait staff on the menu so she would know what is there? I got the stuffed chicken. It was cooked nicely, and the stuffing was delicious, as were the sides. The topping, however, overwhelmed it. Diced tomatoes with some onion and green herbs maybe? The server had said it sounded like the same topping as another dish on the menu and was 'delicious.' All I tasted was tomato. Lastly, the dessert. We each chose one of the two selections. The smaller size for the special menu didn't surprise us, but receiving it cold was disappointing. We didn't see our server again until we had put the remaining halves of the desserts in our entree take home container. (They couldn't pack the dessert to go for some reason.) Overall, not a typical Cedar Creek experience. We usually love everything about it. Hoping next time is better.

    Restaurant week lunch meal was fabulous planked salmon, and excellent house salad topped off by always delicious coconut cake all for $25. Ver good value. The $20 mimosa was a ripoff. It was supposed to be “bottomless” but server failed to offer second pour until almost ready to pour, so one small mimosa was a terrible deal. Be sure to ask cocktail prices before ordering.

    Food has always been average. The service in the bar really needs some improvement. The martinis are pretty good. Kind of weak. The beef stew on the restaurant week menu was average. The new steak is kind of chewy. Too much fat. They only gave us two pieces of bread. When we asked for more it didn’t come. They had to put in an order. Only another two pieces. The music in the bar is very much like karaoke and way too loud.
