This was the worst dining experience of my entire life. Apparently the restaurant had changed hands or something. We had a super noisy table near us and they did nothing. They were out of more than 1/2 the food and bar items. No printed menus. A complete disaster. Complete chaos.

I think it’s important for those looking for dining experiences in St. Augustine to know what they are going to get when making a reservation at Cellar 6 Kitchen & Rooftop Bar today. This restaurant is just opening and is understaffed. We were seated on the second floor ( in a hotel lobby so I am not sure why they call it a rooftop) and it took us 45 minutes to get a drink. The menu is very limited. 4 out of 5 entrees came out together almost 2 hours after arriving and the last entree arrived when were were all done eating. The salad we ordered never arrived. The only positive was that the owner sent over a bottle of wine to try to make amends for being ill-prepared to serve us in a timely fashion. The cocktails were not even up to par. While we were extremely empathetic that they were short handed very little accommodations were made to offset our inconvenience. I think it has potential but I would hold off making reservations until they are more prepared to give the kind of service and experience that you expect for a higher end restaurant.

Enchanting and romantic. Cuisine was stunning, Chef K outdid himself. We couldn’t stop talking about the flavors the next day. And a special thanks to Craig, definitely looking forward to next time ;) So glad Cellar 6 is back!!!

Servers were very friendly. Indoors is a small, intimate atmosphere. They appeared very confused as if they were new and had just opened. The menu given to us was not what they actually had. After we asked about a few items, they told us that we should go on OpenTable to see the actual menu, not the one they gave us at the table. So that started out a little strange. Even with the online menu, they were out of several items. When the food was served, only two of the four of us received our meals. We assumed the other two were right behind. We were wrong. They did tell us it was coming however, it was taking so long, the two ate their meal and were done when the other two finally came. The hamburger the third person was waiting for was ordered medium rare came out well done. That was one of the two remaining we had been waiting for. Overall, the waiter and bartender were very friendly however, it was as if this was their first day and no one really had a clue what was going on, didn't know what was on the menu, was not able to explain items that were on the menu, and had not gotten delivery of many items on the menu. I would give them more time to work out their organization and operation before trying again.

We had a wonderful time sitting at the bar with Ashley and Craig. Had the crab cake, shrimp and Mahi. My wife had th3 salmon. Both were amazing. This place was new and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was fabulous! Our drinks were delicious! They treated us like old friends, and we felt like we were amongst old friends. We will definitely be back!

We chose to dine at Cellar 6 after discovering their enticing menu and reasonable prices. Initially, locating the restaurant on the second floor was a bit challenging due to a lack of signage and having “cellar” in the name. While searching, we started to question our decision to eat there. However, upon meeting the exceptionally friendly and engaging owner Craig, along with his highly skilled head chef—a Michelin finalist—our excitement to dine there was reignited. Our waiter, a personable and knowledgeable food enthusiast, seamlessly accommodated our order modifications. Most importantly, the meals exceeded our expectations; everything was expertly prepared and delicious. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem of a restaurant when in St. Augustine.

It’s listed as a roof top restaurant… not exactly accurate. It has an outdoor area above the street between two hotel towers, but it’s not suitable for offseason weather. There’s also little or no signage anywhere to guide you in once you’re there, and Waze was confused by their old location. Once arrived… the interior dining area is a small area off the lobby past the bar. From the minute we sat down there was confusion… where could we be seated, who’d be waiting on us, and what was actually on the menu. We were handed a backlit menu with no updated information, and not until we ordered were we told of all the things on the menu that actually weren’t available. Which was a lot. The waiter was nice and did his best, but he was new and did not know the menu or even the restaurant well, and had to “check” to answer every question, and even then he was uninformed (not his fault). An over-eager “executive chef” who looked 20, kept micromanaging at every table. (There are only like 6 or 7 tables, and even he didn’t seem to know his own menu. We and other tables were told to use our phones to access a “more accurate” menu on OpenTable which was also inaccurate.) They also could not provide any beverage not from the bar…. So no coffee, tea, or iced tea. Even though he took orders for all 3 and when I inquired about our orders were told, “I just found out we don’t have that.” The food was above average in terms of taste, but not quite good enough for the cost. Two of us ordered surf and turf and the filets were not cooked properly to order and the 3 shrimp were too small for an 8 oz filet. Another ordered the seafood trio special which was very good, but again not entree sized shrimp. Unfortunately dessert did not improve, as the actual offerings did not match either menu, and then arrived semi frozen (at $17 a pop…but without coffee other than espresso which we didn’t want.) But the worst of all was they automatically added a 20% gratuity to a party of 3. 👎🏻

Wonderful elevated fine dining. Cellar 6 is back open on the rooftop of the hotel. Cozy indoor dining and elegant outdoor with amazing views. Service was exceptional along with the cuisine.

I had such a lovely experience here. The staff were delightful and so knowledgeable! Forest made me a mean Old Fashioned and the food was incredible! I had the bruschetta as well as the seared tuna and both were fresh and delicious. Cody and the wait staff and Craig the owner made the experience so personable and unique. I look forward to returning soon!
