   The duck liver was the lowlight of our meal - it’s was too sweet for our palette and the linguine seafood pasta could have had more seafood for the garlic butter sauce but we asked for more bread for dipping. They gave us the roast which came with beef tartare which kind of did the trick. The tartare was also good but we need more toast for sharing with our group of 4. We got 2 small toasts for tartare which was tasty overall. BUT the pork chop and pumpkin salad were the highlights. We also enjoyed the ribeye. It was a table of 4 gals and we ate well!

   My friend and I were celebrating our December birthdays. We chose to dine at Ceron Kitchen in Alameda. We both ordered the pork chop. Which was very delicious. To our surprise we were given a complimentary glass of champagne, in honor of our birthdays. Our server Arnold was superb. He helped with our dinner selection and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

   Beautiful decor and restaurant. My girlfriend and I went Tuesday for the first time. We were the only ones there (a bad sign), so the service was excellent. Not enough selection of seafood without cream. Average food taste. Won’t be back soon.

   A beautiful interior, cheerful service, and very good food make Ceron an easy choice, especially for weekend brunch. It's great that they have their own parking lot, too - street parking has gotten more difficult as the EBay sees new residents (and don't forget that new state law - NO parking within 20 ft of a crosswalk, even if there's a meter!). We had: (1) duck liver starter--lovely altho didn't approve of cinnamon toast (ugh!) underneath; simple toasted brioche would have been better. (2) Clam chowder--very good. (3) Pumpkin kale salad--excellent; we split it. (4) Lobster roll--potato salad got lost somewhere but roll itself was good. Some attempt to garnish the plate would be appreciated, however. (5) Crab & Avocado omelet--very good. (6) Linguine w/white clam sauce--delicious! (7) Grilled salmon w/cheese tortellini--salmon grilled med-rare as requested, very flavorful. Plain asparagus would have been better than tempura fried; battered veggies alongside starchy pasta is overdoing it, both visually and in texture. We were stuffed, so we had to skip dessert!

   Everything my friend and I ate was absolute delicious, as well as beautifully presented. Service was excellent. Even loved the music they were playing. This is a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion.

   Unfortunately, on this particular evening, it appeared that an office party of 25+ was also present. The party was held in the dining room. The party guests didn’t consider that others were also dining, they were loud and invading our space. Our service was greatly impacted. We were hosting guests on their first visit to Ceron, it didn’t present we’ll die to the party. The party should have been held in the banquet room to avoid the experience we had. Since I’ve been here many time and since the opening, I know this was not the norm, but shouldn’t ever happen.

    Very nice experience. The cocktails were quite special -- unusual and excellent. We stayed with sharing small plates, but they were all good or great. They were still good, but not great. We'll be returning. The ambiance is great, and the service was impeccable. The menu was interesting, with lots of choices.
