Chao Pescao is our neighborhood restaurant offering a gastronomic journey through Latin America and the Caribbean curated by Costa Rican born Chef Keivin. The menu style is shared plates, and this is your chance to discover some of the unique flavors of the region. Our award-winning mixology program has also made this restaurant a guest favorite. Mixology, cooking classes and live music are offered throughout the week. Our communal table is perfect for large parties.

We had a delicious meal here while staying at The Andaz Papagayo Peninsula. The staff was excellent, and the space was beautiful. Our only wish was that the dishes had been spaced out, rather than coming all at once. We ended up getting our food almost before we’d gotten into our cocktails, and all three of the dishes we chose came at once. We were looking for a more leisurely pace, which our server said we could expect to enjoy, but we actually wrapped up in 20 minutes. We ended up ordering another drink and small plate, which we really didn’t need, just to extend our evening. It was a great meal and a special experience, I only wish they had spread out the delivery of the dishes. Maybe order just one at a time, although we were instructed to order all at once.

Edgar was our server, and he hands down gave us the best service we had during our entire experience at all of the Andaz restaurants. He was attentive, offered wonderful suggestions, and was friendly and detail oriented. We even came back a 2nd time and didn't have him as our server, but he remembered our names and made a point to say hello. He made our experience at Chao Pescao!

Ordered 2 salads, which were very good, then red snapper and garlic prawns. All the food was quite delicious, baked bananas dessert also great

Food was not as good as we expected. Felt like it was mass produced, a bit on the mushy side.

We always have a wonderful experience at this place but it was extra special for a birthday celebration. Christian our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had the best time. The ambiance is perfect, the food is delicious as always and we will definitely be back to enjoy it again and again. Thanks for being a wonderful place to celebrate.

Reserved an outdoor table days in advance, instead we were seated right next to the kitchen. Was told we would be moved when a table opened up but instead watched group after group being seated outside. The restaurant is nice and the food was good but our table made it difficult to enjoy.
