The Charcoal Steak House is an independent local steakhouse serving the Waterloo region community for over 65 years. Enjoy AAA Steaks, richly marbled wagyu, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, mouth-watering pig tails, legendary smoked ribs and more. At lunch we feature an extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, bowls and healthy salad choices.

Sundays are made for Brunch from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Our Martinis Bar with summer patio offers the full Steak House menu or light meals in a more casual setting. Enjoy appetizers, a full meal, 20 beers on tap and beautiful outdoor seating area in summer.

Our dining experience was very pleasant at Martinis, the food is always fantastic, with many gluten-free options,. Our server was very slow, forgot to bring soy sauce as requested for the meal as well as left us sitting for about 30 minutes before bringing the bill.

This place never disappoints - brought some work colleagues and they were equally impressed, especially with Whitney - our bartender. Definitely a 5 star experience!

We were a table of six...Erica was fantastic as was all our meals. Drinks and meals were prepared perfectly and timed together. Always a wonderful experience at The Charcoal

This is a main stay place when I am in the area. The is excellent but the staff is a step above, especially Whitney who is in a class of her own.

I am a regular customer at Charcoal, visiting 3 times a month or more. I have never had a terrible meal, however my meal tonight was sub par as I expect an amazing meal every single time. My meal was lukewarm, bordering on cold. The plate it is served on is usually at least warm to the touch and was cold tonight.
