Charley's Steak House is owned by the Woodsby family and has operated in Florida since 1974. Charley’s serves only three-year-old USDA prime and choice Angus steers, aging them four to six weeks for tenderness & flavor and hand-cutting the steaks daily to ensure consistent quality. The steaks are then flame-broiled over Florida citrus and oak wood in a custom-built pit at 1200º searing in the tantalizing taste that has made Charley’s the #1 steakhouse in America every year since 2007! Charley’s philosophy of providing only the finest extends from the kitchen to the wine cellar. The wine list approaches 1000 selections from scores of exceptional wineries around the globe.     Food and service was great. After paying and leaving, I reviewed the bill and we were overcharged for items we did not receive. My fault for not noticing at the table, Charley's fault for charging items not served.

    I love charlies steak house, as always the food was on point. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium. Salad was great, bread was warmer and fresh. We were drinking old fashioned, great. I have left reviews in the past and I will again worn people, very expensive. But for a special night out, awesome.

    Another fine dining experience, I love the new recipe lobster Mac & cheese and the tallow fries, all steaks cooked to perfection and happy to know that all steaks cooked in animal fat and not seed oils. We were celebrating Christmas with our our out of town family. Rich thank you for everything we had a fantastic time. Bravo

    While the meal and restaurant are nice, there are several other top tier steakhouses in the area that provide a better meal/service/value.

    Service is good, but not outstanding. An automatic gratuity charge of 21% for parties of 5 or more is a bit distasteful. Additionally, they have a corporate policy of not splitting checks. For the amount being tipped, splitting the check should be done by the server. However, they will accept multiple payments if you tell them how much to charge on each card, you just have to do the math to figure it out. This policy is very tacky for this type of restaurant. The food was good. However, the side selection is expensive and has a very limited selection. There are so many fine dining options in the area, I would probably consider another option before returning.

    You haven’t been to Charley’s and gotten the full experience unless you’ve had Adonis as your server. He made us feel like we were royalty and his passion when explaining the steak and food options really elevated our experience. The food choices we made (some which were great recommendations by Adonis) were all what we expected when going to a restaurant of this caliber. However, the service we received from Adonis is what sets Charley’s apart from every steak house in Tampa. Request Adonis and ask to sit by the fish tank for date night in order to enjoy some great food and a great atmosphere for you and a loved one.

    I have not eaten at Charley's in about 3 years and I live near Berns and the Value for Berns with soup, salad and potato included is a much better deal. This being said last night was amazing my steak was outstanding so were all of my sides. The service was fantastic. I would say $50 for corkage fee is pretty high!

    One of the most outstanding restaurants I’ve been to. The food, service, and ambiance was stellar. Our server Adonis was fabulous. He was super friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable about the food and the restaurant. We will definitely be back and we would love to have Adonis as our server again.
