Indulge your inner child and adventure into the magical, mouth-watering world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with our enchanting afternoon tea, that has had a dazzling makeover.

Fizzy lifting drinks, snozzberry jam, chocolate swudge milkshake mixed by waterfall –all tantalisingly tremendous items inspired by Roald Dahl’s iconic story.

In the heart of London’s theatreland, you can find a wonderful taste of Willy Wonka’s factory. Feast on scrumptious savouries such as our not-quite-as-it-seems macaron and classic Coronation chicken. Journey on for fabulously fluffy floss and a box stacked high with wondrous cakes, sweets, mallows and creams. If you find this thirsty work, wash it down with chocolate or lemon sherbet tea, Juicing Room mix, water pistol punch cocktails, or fizzy lifting Champagne - spot on for spectacular special occasions or simply an indulgent afternoon immersed in one of the tastiest tales ever told.

Amazing experience today at the Charlie & The Chocolate Factory afternoon tea. From the start, the staff were attentive and meticulous in everything they did. Food was out of this world too! Definitely recommend.

Great experience. The service was impeccable and the quality of food was exceptional. My friend and I had a great time for our birthday treat to each other! The candy floss was a nice touch to remind us of our youth :)

We went here today for the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea. It was beautiful! Staff were so welcoming and our waiter, Pio, was attentive, helpful and friendly. Such a terrific way to take an adult experience like high tea and make it suitable for the whole family. Our two girls loved it and had their fill of hot chocolate and fairy floss. They even came away with a copy of the book and a lollipop. A fabulous experience. Highly recommend it!

One Aldwych has always been one of my favourite places for afternoon tea. Although I still love it I’m not sure it’s worth the money. Staff were wonderful but service was quite slow and brought me the wrong tea For a special treat I wouldn’t say it was worth £90 each plus service charge

The food and service is excellent. They catered for one of us for gluten free and the food is excellent. Gluten free will not be left out, you get very similar on the main sandwiches and deserts get two slightly different to "normal" selection. You will not be disappointed if gluten free important for you. The quality is amazing and the staff is very happy to help with any requirements and need. Love the fact they keep it simple and fuss free. Equally great for couples to groups and a bit of fun!

I had high expectations for this experience, and yet it fell way too short for the price and considering the time of year. We had expected the venue to magical. It's Christmas, it was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but it felt like a tired hotel, and the dining area had one tree, and a few subtle Charlie ornaments. Nope, that wasn't special. If you don't have a booth, then the table feels like a Nando's. Again, needs attention and a bit of class and pizazz (none of which was there). The server was kind an attentive but the noise of music and a cavernous space reverberates which doesn't lend itself to being a relaxing experience. The food....well Afternoon tea again if not presented on a traditional stack is simply a rectangle plate of sandwiches. We did enjoy them, but felt something was missing. Was it worth the money? Absolutely not. The place should be magical for kids and adults alike, but it wasn't. Fanfare it was missing, special touches should be there. Someone needs to look at investing in the space.

We found it to be extremely expensive compared to the level of food and drinks. It is, in our opinion, not worth the high price!

The food and the service was top notch at the Aldwych and the servers were brilliant with the kids. My only slight criticism is that it’s quite pricey but it’s meant to be a treat I suppose!
