Cool bar and restaurant tucked away on the water in Essex….great location for outside dining although we ate here on NYE, so we were inside. The NYE menu was more sophisticated than their regular one, but the chef was very accommodating by preparing a burger and fries for my daughter and chicken tenders with mac and cheese for my son (both from regular menu) while I had the sea bass and my wife the scallops. The food was excellent and they also have a very good cocktail selection, including offering top shelf bourbons and liquors. We’ll be coming back in the near future.

Amazing staff! Beautiful setting. Cozy and fun for cool fall evening….but I can see all seasons being so perfect here. They had live music that was wonderful. Food and drinks delicious! All the stars. Will definitely be back!

This isca spectacular place for a nice autumn afternoon. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are all great. The only thing I would improve would be to add more entrees.

I recently dined at Charly's, and I have to say, it was a great experience! The Cream of Crab Soup was a highlight—perfectly balanced, not too thick or thin, with delicious lumps of crabmeat and a hint of sherry that added a nice depth of flavor. I also tried the Crab Pretzel, which was absolutely delicious. It was soft and gooey, topped with plenty of fresh crab meat. It’s comfort food at its finest! The Lobster Roll was another winner. It was warm and buttery, and the portion of lobster was incredibly generous. Every bite was full of succulent lobster goodness. I also loved the Ahi Tuna Wrap with ginger. The ginger gave it a nice kick, and the focaccia bread tasted like it was freshly made. Overall, the food at Charly's was fantastic, and I left feeling very satisfied. Kudos to the chef for crafting such delicious dishes! I can't wait to come back and try more.

We had an amazing birthday celebration and our server Jenna went out of her way to make it special. We would definitely recommend Charley's

Food was just ok not worth the price at all, we ordered the crab dip and for 18 dollars was the smallest crab dip. Would not go back for dinner more of a place to grab a drink. When we arrived we were told we could not sit outside because our reservation was not specific for outside the hostess stated “I will not sit them outside” the customer service was not very friendly. Our server was amazing, gave us a high top outside very sweet.

Great place. Drinks were good. Nice outside dining. Just burger was raw in middle when asked for well done. Other than that it was perfect

Only problem was I had reservations for 7:30 and arrived at 7:28 and waited for a server to greet me for at least 20 minutes until me and my girlfriend were seated. Food was great and server was phenomenal.
