The most unique feature is the 100+ acres of native areas that have been planted with Spartina, Patens and Muhly grass. The contrast of the bayou, native areas, and greens make this a must see and play for visitors of all levels. The full service clubhouse will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    We think of chart house as one of the nicer restaurants at Golden Nugget. Not quite as nice as Vic and Anthony’s but usually nicer than the rest. Today was not their best day. We were there on Thanksgiving and my wife ordered the Thanksgiving special. I ordered prime rib. Well my dinner was actually good, other than the fact that my wedge salad could’ve used a bit more dressing, which I was able to get. Her dinner was a real mixed bag. Her turkey and stuffing were good, but her potatoes looked like something served up with an ice cream scoop and were cold and hard with a congealed sort of gravy over the top and her green beans weren’t cooked all the way. Coincidentally, those seated near us were told that they couldn’t be given the Thanksgiving special right away because there weren’t enough green beans cooked, and they had the choice of either taking the dinner without them or waiting for it. Those nearest to us decided to wait for it and even though they were only seated about 10 minutes after us, when we left the restaurant after finishing our entrée and dessert and paying our tab, they were still waiting for their entrée. It will be a while before we try the chart house again.

    Everything about it was STELLAR! Prompt, courteous and very friendly waitstaff, fabulous drinks quickly served, positively delicious food. DEFINITELY will be repeat customers!

    My first time at CH. Loved my server, very attentive, very cheerful and she knew the menu. The establishment was very nice, the employees friendly and the view relaxing. This was the best choice for a holiday meal for me. Thank you CH for taking the anxiety off my holiday cooking.

    Parking was nonexistent - had to walk 2 blocks due to all the golfers usurping restaurant parking. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was less than half full. The Bloody Mary was watery and not even stirred to blend the alcohol floating on top. The Eggs Benedict was lukewarm with the egg overcooked. The omelet was overcooked and rubbery. Shrimp and grits was acceptable, though the grits were grainy and not creamy. From other reviews and past experience here, I certainly expected better.

    We ordered what was the specialty and nothing great was on the plate and the taste was nothing special either.

    We sat out on the patio. Nice view of the course and great ambiance. Our server and service was good as well. Food was excellent. We’ve been here several times and will definitely be back. Great place.

    We used to live in Lake Charles And spent nearly every Sunday at the Chart house for brunch. It’s just as good as we remembered. One request…. Bring back the lobster rolls. ;-)

    The food was amazing. The prime rib was perfect, my wife’s scallops and shrimp were perfect. The scallops were huge! Jay was great as our server, we will be asking for him again. Just a great place to eat, highly recommend.
