    Located at The Country Club at Golden Nugget, an 18 hole par 72 golf course on Contraband Bayou. This treasure of a golf course has Miniverde greens and Celebration tees, fairways, and roughs. The most unique feature is the 100+ acres of native areas that have been planted with Spartina, Patens and Muhly grass. The contrast of the bayou, native areas, and greens make this a must see and play for visitors of all levels. The full service clubhouse will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    Although we have eaten at Chart House Lake Charles numerous times, this was the first time that we ordered the prime rib. My husband and I started the meal with cocktails, French Onion Soup, and, of course, their breadbasket. The French Onion Soup was very good, thick with just the right amount of bread to broth ratio. However, the 10oz prime rib that we both ordered were perfect. We both like our steaks medium rare, and the prime rib was exactly that. My husband said that this was the best prime rib he had had since the Beef and Bottle in Sarasota, Florida, when we lived there many, many years ago. We finished the meal with mini lava cakes that warm, oozing with chocolate lava, and ice cream. I want to complement our server, Austin, he was attentive without hovering, had a great sense of humor, and made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant. Thank you, Austin, for making the night special for us. We enjoy the brunches and lunches at the Lake Charles Chart House, but it is now also the place we will go when we are hungry for prime rib.

    This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is always on point. Today, we had brunch and it did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back.

    Dining at the Chart House was a really pleasant experience starting with excellent service from Austin, our server. We ate a delectable wedge salad followed by flavorful prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes. Paired with a Daou cabernet in a cozy ambience, our meal was exquisite.

    Food was really good. Only my second time eating there. I knew not to get the charbroiled oysters because the first time I went, they were not good. But this time, the shrimp and scallops, bbq shrimp app, and the coconut shrimp was very good. Cocktails were also good.

    We had a nice dinner next to the fire. The food was consistent, and the drinks were good. We'll be back.
