   Honestly, and I hate writing this, the entire experience was a bit of a let down. We don’t eat at swanky places all that often so maybe my perspective is skewed, but we went here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I had eaten at Chart House probably 15 or so years ago and I remember it being absolutely amazing. This time, it felt like we left there unsatisfied. For what we paid, I should have been amazed. I love lobster bisque. But the cup I ordered last night was not good. It had two lumps of lobster but the soup itself had split and it tasted almost like it was canned. The prime rib was delicious and so was the key west grouper (despite way too many seasonings on the fish). But for the amount of food, we left there almost hungry. And then the service wasn’t all that fantastic. Maybe they were short handed but our server wasn’t super attentive. Our iced tea sat empty for a long time. I will say the mini lava cake was excellent. We just left there feeling disappointed. Which makes me sad to say because I used to love the Chart House.

   THE go-to for prime rib. Great salad bar, great fish. The magi was delicious. Presentation was beautiful. And they make very creative drinks. Nice view of the water and shoreline. Service was very good but some long server absences with low on drinks. But not unreasonably so. We’ll be back!

   So our server Preston was 5 stars ! Food was very good ! My Coravin pour wine had ‘turned’ Lights were VERY bright Music was rap/pop ( should of been nice chill music )

   Wife’s birthday. Excellent food, service, ambience. We were seated right away at our favorite table. Joel was our server. He was attentive but not overbearing, timing of courses perfect.

   Food was overcooked, this evening. (Salmon and asparagas) service was slow. Wait staff was careful to phase our dinners as requested. Waiter was much more attentive to the table next to us (they ordered 4 bottles of wine, etc) waiter was all smiles.

   Chart Hz has always been my go to for fine dining. Last night was an off night for the Chart Hz. Food was over done, waitness was disorganized and delivery of meal out of sequence. Hard to make a negative review because I have always loved the Chart Hz.

   Happy hour drinks and appetizers were delicious and a great bargain. Dinner food was exceptional and the view was amazing. If you’re going for Christmas decorations and Christmas spirit and the Christmas feeling, don’t bother

   We’ve gone to the Charthouse for years. We arrived 15 minutes early. The young lady at the front door acknowledged our reservation and said we were 15 minutes early. She asked us to go to the bar to wait. The restaurant was at best 25% full. We went to find a seat. When we came back to the desk, she said she would get us a great table with a great view. I asked for an open table and she said it was a 5 top, and refused to give us the table. She said she had a great table for us and sat us at a 5 top. This was an unfortunate start to our evening. The salad bar was not up to par, the spinach was wilted, the pineapple was cored, and the Caesar salad was no longer made at the salad bar for you. Table service was good, the food was good. The selection of rolls, which used to be 4 to 5 was only 2. It’s sad to see the Charthouse lose it’s luster.
