    We have had dinner here many times and this time was not the best Appetizers were just okay, Fish was good not great, lamb was salty, salmon was again good but nothing special even the cocktails were off tonight. Was it ooor quality of the tequila or the lines juice was not really fresh!?!?!? We give it another shot next year and see if it improves

    Even though we live nearby, this was our first time dining here. Everything was excellent. The view, of course, is stunning and the set up of tables in the restaurant is such that almost every table can look out. Service was stellar. We asked to move tables because of a draft of cool air and were accommodated immediately. Very helpful service without being intrusive. The food was all wonderful. The steaks were perfectly cooked. Their happy hour looks great, and since we are local, we will be sure to try it out in the future and return for dinner.

    Sorry but not your best night. From a 15 minute wait to get into parking lot due to a large group event where you parked all of their cars affecting other customers ability to get to front door( on a rainy cold night) to a noisy table next to us so we could not hear each of the 6 of us talking it was not pleasant. One of us wanted to order the chicken; you were out of that dish. Even though we delayed ordering while waiting for one of party to finally park, service was slow thereafter. While we have had better experiences with you, last night was not a good one for us or you. I suspect we will return but would expect a lot of the rough edges to be smoothed out.

    The food was outstanding. We had the Mac nut mahi mayo and the sea bass and both were awesome.

    Location and view are excellent. Service could be refined—our flatware wasn’t replaced and we had to ask for more, reaching across the table and over food to pick up dirty dishes, for example. Cocktails were fair and the wine list was disappointing, especially given we are in an amazing wine location. But the food was good and traditional.

    Service was great. Clam chowder was delicious. Two salmon entrees were diappointing. Very fishy taste. salmon, gnochi, mushroom dish was boring. Has always been a favorite resyaurant for us!

    Dining at the Chart House is always a lovely experience. No matter the weather, the scene of Portland from the many windows is beautiful. No matter how many times you dine at the Chart House, the service and food is excellent. It is one of the best restaurants in Portland.
